you can roast me, its ok i messed up. he was the leader. i was p2 passing to get a lap back at 2s faster per lap than him. i made what i thought was a high percentage move based on his previous laps racing line and pace. i didn't expect a block and i crashed him on accident.

they have 57 minutes of repairs. i apologize in chat profusely and plead for them to not crash us when they return. they say "should've thought of that earlier." they rejoin the race, and drive slowly so i can pass them.

we repair the car. over 7 hours we go from p7 10 laps down to p3 5 laps down. there's still 9 hours left in the race. they decide to join back into the race 194 laps down. my teammate is driving. he gets walled and blocked for a lap trying to pass clean. race over.

all this to say yes, i messed up. i apologized over and over, and i know that is not enough for ending somebody's race, even on accident. but to spend the next 7 hours griefing our team from almost 200 laps down is just plain immature yet has become the iracing norm.

also, needless to say, this will be protested through the proper channels on iracing.

I mean to be fair, I don’t think your move was that egregious. He went for a block when you were already there… I don’t even think it was your fault, he definitely I feel like he wrecked himself. And that’s coming from someone with ample professional racing experience.

sorry, destroyer was 41 laps down, not 5. typo.

If you're gonna do that shit, don't do it to a team that has this kind of social media reach 🤣 I really think some of these people on here were raised with iracing being a babysitter and didn't get enough attention from mom and dad. What even was the point of that?

That sucks. In our team vc, we were talking about how y’all’s team was the best GTP managing traffic. So many others made questionable moves around us, but y’all were the only one I can remember who never made an egregious move trying to pass us, so we appreciate that.

It’s one thing to do it without sympathy but you apologized properly like real racers would and they still lashed out.
