I find it fascinating that the attorneys representing the HAM plaintiffs, and their online cohorts, are bringing up the FBI Regional Computer Forensics Laboratory (RCFL) when discussing phone evidence. Because one of the HAMs themselves, Brian Higgins, actually used that resource for his own phone. On January 30th, 2022, Higgins called his "best friend" ATF Agent Matt Kelch, who Higgins described as being good with the "phone stuff." He asked Kelch how he could "pull text strings off (his) phone" so he could provide them to state police. For timeline-wise, this phone call occurred one day after the death of John O'Keefe. Kelch walked him through it, and Higgins went to the FBI RCFL facility and used a kiosk on the first floor to extract selected information from his phone. Flash forward to September 22nd, 2022 when Karen Read's defense team publicly sought an order requiring Higgins to preserve his phone for forensic examination. Six days later, with the preservation order about to be served, Higgins got a new phone and changed his number. The next day, September 30th, he is officially served. Higgins was eventually interviewed by federal prosecutors in May of 2023 and discussed what he had done with the phone. During this portion of trial testimony, it is revealed that Higgins had removed the "cut or broken" SIM card from his original phone, possibly destroyed that same phone and threw away the two items at two different dumpsters on a military base. It was also testified to that he was eventually placed on desk duty, but the public record doesn't establish why. Could his use of a federal forensic resource in the RCFL building to extract information from his personal phone have played a role? I don't know. But considering Higgins' lawsuit against Karen Read and Aidan Kearney includes claims involving his employment and professional reputation, discovery could potentially shed light on why he was placed on leave/desk duty, what his supervisors knew about the phone, and whether those events were connected. I remember when I was young, around 10-11 years old. My parents were both asleep as was my brother. I heard a knock on the back door which was weird because who uses the back door at a stranger’s house? The kitchen window was close by so I take a look. It looked like a teenager but hard to tell because they had a hoodie with the hood up. I didn’t open the door but I did crack the window and asked them what they wanted. They replied they were lost and wanted to come in to warm up and use the phone. But he did talk through the door and told him that he was calling the police and that he should just leave. The person just stood there until the police finally came and even they asked him what he was doing knocking on the door at that hour. He told them he was lost and thought this was a house of a family friend. The police told him my dad didn’t know him and made him leave. So was this a case of wrong house or was he up to something. It makes me still wonder to this day but I’m still glad I never opened the door.

Only for him to tell us his name is George Kakuwa. Then he went on to say he was the boy who walked 200km to Rundu to attend the founding father's memorial service last year (2025) in February. I of course searched up the newspaper article just to make sure it was him. Before I could even verify, he continued saying he never got his money and he never went back to school. I’ve had a few people do this to me, they seriously look like they are enjoying their food, cleaning the plates so well it looked like they were freshly washed. Yet complaining with every bite how the food is bad and how they are refusing to pay yet they won’t stop eating every last crumb on the plate. I just opened the buffet for the day, everything is fresh and hot, I do random taste tests for almost everything that comes out to make sure they are good and to my standards. I had a man come in with his wife, she looked nervous and in about 20 mins I saw why. The man went up and grabbed a plate, he picked out all of the meat in the dishes, all the beef from the pepper steak to all the chicken in the chicken broccoli, he cleared around 4 plates of meat leaving nothing but veggies left in the pans. The wife was quietly enjoying her food, she wasn’t participating in his behavior. When it was time to pay, the man wasn’t hiding his discontent, he said he didn’t like the food, there wasn’t enough meat in the dishes, he wasn’t even full and was going to have to pick up a burger after he leaves. So he feels he shouldn’t have to pay for it. I was not having it. I said I watched you pick out all the meat and eat every last bit, you even had 4 pieces of cheesecake and a bowl of fresh fruit. I made him pay and I banned him from the restaurant, I said if you don’t pay I will trespass you and press charges for theft. His wife was embarrassed, I can tell he does this often, she paid, apologized and they both left.
