Asif Restaurant in Tel Aviv invited me to cook something typically German. I made Königsberger Klopse, soulfood from my grandma’s generation. One guest called it „hardcore Ashkenasi“ (but seemed to like it). Thank you to the fantastic staff at Asif and Shabbat Shalom.

This Friday night, over a hundred Israeli families will have a seat empty at their Shabbat table. Their loved ones, will be bringing in Shabbat as hostages in the Gaza Strip. A Shabbat table with the number of missing hostages was placed in central Tel Aviv as a tribute to the hostages and their families. Keep the hostages in your prayers.
