What happened next was captured on video: “I will f***ing kill you. Do you understand me?” This wasn’t policing. This was intimidation. This was a threat of state sanctioned violence against a child exercising his First Amendment rights. IMPD claims they were justified because someone in the car had a firearm. But threatening to KILL a teenager is never justified. This is the culture we’re fighting to change, where our youth can’t protest, can’t drive, can’t exist without fearing for their lives. Who's the real leader of the House of Representatives? Last night, The Senate voted (77-19) to advance a bipartisan short-term funding measure (CR) to avoid a government shutdown at the end of the week. This morning, Speaker McCarthy said that the Senate CR is dead on arrival. Why? Because it includes some money for Ukraine, which MTG and other pro-Putin extremists in his party refuse to back. McCarthy could do the right thing and support the Senate CR since at least 70% of House Republicans support funding for Ukraine, but he's terrified of Matt Gaetz, MTG, and Donald Trump. He gave these extremists the power, and now they totally control him. Even Mitch McConnell slams McCarthy and House Republicans for their insistence to shut down the government: "A vote against a standard short-term funding measure is a vote against paying over $1 billion in salary for Border Patrol and ICE agents working to track down lethal fentanyl and tame our open borders.”
