I'm white, nearing 70, and one of the most admired people in my life was a black man that was born in the 1800's. He saw real racism, but as an 8 year old kid, all I saw was a kind man who took the time to talk very respectfully with me. He was next door neighbor for 10 years.

I think it is normal to want to be validated by a parent or family. The issue is when people what strangers to validate their situation, sex, life, partner. Who cares! We need to just keep promoting Families. A family reguardless of race and culter is much healthier.

Clif is very accurate. We couldn't care less about black people, or Asians, or Hispanics ot anyone else. I don't care about the rednecks down the street. Don't mess with us and we won't despise you. I live in a subdivision and there are two black families, I'm Hispanic as far as I know we are the minorities and we live quite peacefully with each other. Nobody brings nonsense to our subdivision because if they did we'd call the law.

I wish these idiots would go out into the world trying to be a good upstanding person. They would find out that nobody cares what color you are, how ugly you are, not even a little. Generally speaking, everyone is just trying to get through life just like them.

We have an army base near us in a very white/red community and the minority service members and their families who live in town tell me (coached youth b-ball) how much they love being in a safe city and how friendly everyone is. Point is, we don’t gaf about race, just character.
