Me too

The 02 2wd SR5 185k miles I gave it some fresh paint and tires..

This is my beautiful 2016 that I still have with over 300,000 miles. I love this truck.

Had an 02 it was the best car I ever owned. 287k miles on the clock. Killed it on a rainy night it was the ultimate rig RIP

how much are they rn?

In this condition they’re probably 25k at least

That would be exactly how my dad takes care of his cars. He gets a new one every 5 years and the old one was like brand new. He now has a 2020 RAV4 with 12000 miles on it. He is 88 years old.

They are excellent, waaaay better than 2nd gen. I'll keep my 1st gen '85 though 💪

Honestly, most SUVs from the early 2000s will last you longer than most of the current SUVs.

Listed online for $32,499

Wow! Sweet! What a find a rare gem! I love my fifth generation 4Runner!

I’m leaning towards getting one

@ComfortOfObscrt See my comment. Go to NHTSB and search it. My accident was 6/9/15. It's in there.

@washghost1 If you're saying the vehicle does not have a great safety rating, I know that. But I am a man driver not a woman driver! 😮😹 had to do it! 😆 Seriously though, I hope you were not injured badly and made a full recovery. I will be careful in my vehicle.

They are good. We had two banging around the family. One unfortunately got totaled the other has been a hand me down daily driver for 2 different people. I have owned two of the same generation Tacoma. Also solid (unless you live in the rust belt).

My brother had one. Loved when he’d let me drive it

I will say the 4 cylinder automatic flavor of them are a bit underpowered. 4cyl manual is good, V6 is better.

I’m considering buying a $5,000 SUV from the turn of the century and spending about $10,000 to restore it to near-new condition.

Did someone REALLY shoot this in VERTICAL VIDEO? You can't claim you're a car person.

Yes. Toyotas made in Japan. 5th gen and older 4runners (I am partial to the '98 limited). 200 series and older Land Cruisers and LX's. I recommend hoarding them.

YASSSSS

It’s 🔥

Can confirm. My daily is a 3rd gen 4Runner and it is indeed awesome!

Wise choice. I had three of them in my driveway at one point. Built FZJ80 is my DD these days.

I own a Tesla, Porsche and a 1st gen Tacoma. When it comes to long distance travels and driving in harsh conditions, these old Toyota's will do circles around EV's all day long and outlast any modern gasoline cars especially all the expensive European junk.

Mint condition....and you know it's got another 25 years in it

This is gorgeous. I had a 99 and I wish I never got rid of it.

I had one, 388,667 miles with just regular maintenance. But the frame finally rotted out after 16 years of daily use. I’d take it too. It would have ran forever.

Love this vehicle… unfortunately, that perfect frame would be gone in 3 years in Michigan…

There was a 1998 4runneR in park city with 4 keys that way way cleaner than this. Used as the families ski car once a year for 25 years hahaha. This thing looks like shit compared to that 1998.

Love my old four runner - I’ll never own anything else

I just bought a 2011 highlander because fuck this new new shit….

What dreams are made off....

Facts and the tire choice is 👌

The Four Runner is one of the few vehicles that has stayed relatively close to its roots.

Peak Toyota!

100 times better than today’s gen

Sold already 😬

Awesome little trucks, too bad this is the 2.7 I4 for though, not very powerful but reliable. The only real downside to these is they're not particularly safe (especially with offset frontal) by todays standards but I guess avoiding a crash in the first place is advisable haha.

2000 Astro Van enters the chat and yes it IS 4wd

Probably the best looking generation of 4Runner and it’s not even close
