There has been ongoing cutting of trees at Empakasi Forest in Kerarapon. Today, Oloolus residents together with the Community Forests Association have occupied the forest and chased away the loggers like burukenge. It's suspected that a powerful figure in Kajiado is behind the logging and there are attempts to grab the forest land.
