Shabana Mahmood's new "safe and legal routes", allowing hundreds of thousands of refugees and asylum seekers, sponsored by mosques and NGOs, to settle in Britain, is based on the 2023 Fabian Society proposal, Lawful and Fair: Building A Better Migration System. The paper prohibits deportations and says that democracy does not mean "that every policy must command a majority" of public support. Sponsors will receive taxpayer subsidies to support the migrants, and migrants must repay £10,000 in housing costs — but this can come from benefits, also paid by British taxpayers. This is while they are given brand new homes in small villages, despite the Home Office admitting that they pose a threat to schools and nurseries. Mahmood also quietly reversed the ban on illegal migrants gaining British citizenship, saying it was "outside their control" that they paid a people smuggler to ferry them to Britain. Immigration policy is a crucial part of their gradual socialist revolution. It is why Labour will never respect the public's wishes to see immigration stopped and reversed. The next government must commit not just to sending everyone imported via this scheme back, but to stripping citizenship from illegal migrants and the Boriswave. Otherwise, we will be stuck with these people, and their costs and crimes, forever.

A homeless Irish man sleeping rough asks the obvious question: why is he the one without a blanket or proper shelter while migrants are housed in tax-funded luxury guarded by security? The contrast could not be clearer or more insulting. Native citizens who built and sustained the country are left on the streets while new arrivals receive better accommodation than many working families could ever afford. This is not compassion. It is a deliberate inversion of priorities. Governments across Britain and Ireland have chosen to spend billions on hotels, converted buildings and high-end facilities for people who entered the country unlawfully or with questionable claims, while veterans, the elderly and ordinary citizens sleep in doorways. The same politicians who lecture about “diversity” and “inclusion” treat their own people as disposable. The policy is unsustainable and morally indefensible. Every pound spent on luxury migrant accommodation is a pound not available for British and Irish citizens in genuine need. Every bed given to someone with no right to be here is a bed denied to a native family or a homeless veteran. The public sees the disparity every day and understands exactly what it means. The only remedy is to stop the inflow immediately and begin large-scale removals. Failed asylum seekers, economic migrants and foreign nationals who commit crimes must be deported. Housing, welfare and public services must be reserved first for the people whose taxes fund them. Anything less guarantees more scenes like this one and deeper resentment from citizens who are being told their country no longer belongs to them. Put our people first. End the madness.

The US State Department gathered members of the British, Australian, Canadian, and European press "to reiterate that mass migration is an existential threat to Western civilization and the safety of both the West and the world", and condemn "two-tiered justice, where migrants and the crimes that are committed by migrants often receive much more lenient punishments than equivalent behaviors by local populations." A senior State Department official said: "This is a real problem. There are security implications to this. There are cultural implications to this. There are economic implications to this. And we think it’s about time that for the sake of our allies, for the sake of their citizens, for the sake of our friends, someone said something about this. And at the same time, the negligence on this issue, the mass migration crisis, by the human rights community, by the international community, has been glaring." They cited violent and sexual crimes committed by migrants, as well as "the phenomenon of displacement" — white flight — as "human rights concerns". The Trump Administration is more concerned about the safety of British people than our own government. I hope the President's rhetoric this week about banning third-world migration, and denaturalising and deporting troublesome migrants, translates into action; and that pressure from the State Department forces our treacherous government to do the same.
