A "maniac" with a history of random attacks on women — who also once decapitated a pigeon in the middle of Penn Station — was released again after his latest arrest, for allegedly kicking a 7-year-old boy in an unprovoked Brooklyn attack. Jesse Daniels, 23, randomly stormed up to the boy and dealt a swift kick to his left ear that knocked him to the ground around 2:35 p.m. March 6 on Schenectady Avenue near Union Street in Crown Heights, according to cops and CH Shomrim [who originally posted this video]. Daniels was arrested Tuesday and charged with attempted assault in the second and third degrees, etc. He was released on his own recognizance Wednesday, because the charges do not qualify for bail under the state’s lax bail reform laws. Daniels is accused of punching two women, 30 and 31, in back-to-back unprovoked attacks around 8:25 a.m. March 27 in front of the Goldman Sachs headquarters on West Street near Murray Street, police said. He faced multiple charges – but was ultimately granted supervised release by a judge despite prosecutors’ request that he be held on $5,000 cash bail or $15,000 bond. He was previously nabbed on March 12 for allegedly punching a 31-year-old woman in the face inside Penn Station just before 11 a.m. that day, cops said. Daniels was charged with misdemeanor assault, but was ultimately granted supervised release on the non-bail-eligible offense. In a disturbing act of animal cruelty in Penn Station Feb. 13, he allegedly grabbed a pigeon, ripped off its head and tossed both the head and body on the floor, according to cops and a criminal complaint. Then Daniels – seen wearing the Celtics jacket and carrying the ball – callously stomped on the bird’s body, the court doc said. Daniels was arrested two days later by an Amtrak Police officer who spotted him in the station and charged with torturing animals. Daniels’ first arrest was on July 31, 2025 for allegedly punching a 64-year-old woman in the face, unprovoked, inside the Fulton Street subway station in Lower Manhattan, authorities said.

In a swift breakthrough, Attapur police arrested a 37-year-old man within 24 hours for allegedly murdering his wife following prolonged family disputes and suspicion regarding her character. The accused, identified as Avinash Irbaji Kalne, a native of Nanded district in Maharashtra, worked as an auto-rickshaw driver and mason. Police seized a vegetable knife, a vegetable peeler, an iron rod, and the accused's mobile phone during the investigation. According to police, the victim, Soni alias Komal Avinash Kalne, married Avinash on March 23, 2013. The couple had two sons and initially lived a happy married life for nearly eight years. However, frequent disputes reportedly began after the accused developed alcohol-related habits and started neglecting family responsibilities. Komal worked as a housemaid and supported the family financially. Investigators revealed that the accused frequently suspected his wife's fidelity, leading to repeated quarrels. In 2025, a criminal case had already been registered against him in Maharashtra for allegedly assaulting and attempting to kill his wife during a similar dispute. He was arrested and later released on bail. The family subsequently moved to Hyderabad and settled in Tejaswini Nagar, Attapur. However, the disputes reportedly continued. On the evening of June 4, a fresh argument broke out between the couple, which was mediated by the building owner and the victim's brother. Police said that at around 4 a.m. on June 5, the accused allegedly entered the residence through a window and launched a brutal attack on Komal. As she screamed for help, she reportedly resisted and bit the accused's fingers. Enraged, he allegedly attacked her repeatedly using a vegetable knife, a vegetable peeler, and an iron rod, inflicting fatal injuries. Neighbours rushed to the scene after hearing her cries and attempted to stop the attack, but the accused allegedly continued the assault before fleeing. Based on the complaint and evidence collected, Attapur police launched a manhunt and succeeded in apprehending the accused within 24 hours of the crime. Further investigation is underway.

The 35-year-old man, who was arrested for raping a seven-year-old girl and inserting iron in her private parts, was booked for attempted murder after he attacked cops with a sickle and tried to escape on Wednesday night. The police fired in self-defense and two bullets hit the accused #Ramsingh's leg in the village of #Jasdan taluka where they had taken him for recovery of the rod. After recovering the rod from his field, the cops reached Ramsingh's house where he suddenly picked up a sickle and launched the attack which left Dharmesh Bavaliya, head constable with the Local Crime Branch (LCB) of Rajkot Rural police, injured. HC Gohil and KM Chavda, both police sub-inspectors, fired from their service revolvers to prevent him from fleeing. Bavaliya suffered injuries in the chest and arm. The police control room was informed and both were first taken to KD. Parvadia Hospital in #Atkot for treatment and later shifted to the civil hospital in #Rajkot city late at night. Rajkot Rural superintendent of police (SP) Vijaysinh Gurjar had told reporters that the accused committed the sexual assault in about 10 minutes. He was familiar with the girl and her family, knowing that they were originally from #Dahod and had come here to work as farm labourers, Gurjar said. Police said the girl cried out during the assault, which agitated the accused, who then inserted the rod in her. Ramsingh is on police remand until December 15 in this rape case. The case of attempted murder was lodged against Ramsingh by PSI Gohil under relevant sections of BNS.

Police intentionally ran over the suspect in Porterville, CA, who shot and killed a California sheriff’s detective during a shootout on Thursday. Sheriff Mike Boudreaux bluntly said during a press conference, “We intentionally ran him over… Don’t shoot at cops. You shoot at cops, we’re going to run you over. He got run over. He got what he deserved.” The suspect, David Eric Morales, was killed when a law enforcement BearCat armored vehicle ran over him after he continued firing and refused to surrender. Morales was being served an eviction notice, after 35 days of not paying rent, and then opened fire on deputies in an apparent ambush that led to an hours-long standoff. Morales was barricaded in the home for hours while he fired on law enforcement. He eventually exited through a window and was later found outside, lying in brush while wearing camouflage, still a threat, and was subsequently run over. Deputy Randy Hoppert has been identified as the person Morales senselessly shot and killed during the gunfight. Hoppert was a Navy corpsman who served from 2010 to 2015 and joined the Tulare County Sheriff’s Office on Jan. 5, 2020. He was struck by gunfire and transported to Sierra View District Hospital, where he died at 11:57 a.m. Morales had allegedly ambushed the deputies, prompting a call for additional units. He shot at everything, including vehicles, officers, and even a drone. After Deputy Hoppert was gravely injured, the gloves came off and Morales eventually met his end under an armored vehicle. RIP to Deputy Hoppert and pray for his family. (Fox News | New York Post)

I’m livid‼️‼️‼️ Still shaking as I type this ‼️‼️‼️‼️ A BRT bus crushed the front of my vehicle at about 6:40pm this evening on my way from work. Everything is broken. The bumper shattered, the lights destroyed, the bonnet cover removed 💔💔💔 It happened at Obalende with several eye witnesses. Even with the traffic light which was green for our lane to pass, there was also a civilian at the junction controlling traffic, yet this driver crushed our car 💔 After waiting in turn for the vehicles at the other side of the road to pass, the other lane(where the BRT was) was stopped and our lane was passed… …as soon as we moved an inch, a BRT bus with plate number EKY564XY (driver’s face in frame 3) drove in full speed and collided into our car, destroying car parts worth hundreds of thousands💔💔💔 In shock, we (I and the person driving) came down to assess the damage, and to make videos and capture the plates before he runs, but to our surprise and that of everyone around, including the civilian passing traffic, the BRT driver claimed to not have seen us and that he had right to speed and ram into our vehicle the way he did. He asked for the usefulness of the video I was making and I told him I’ll show him the power of social media‼️‼️ It is unfair for me to go to work for 40 working days of two months , toiling day and night only to pour the money into the repair of a car collision caused by the wild animals Lagos state government employs as driver 💔💔 After calling me names, he ended up saying there is a scratch on his bus too so we should both move on. A scratch compared to the damage this wicked human caused. I want to beg everyone to help me retweet massively tagging The Lagos State Govt and Babajide Sanwo-Olu to see how their driver endangers the lives and properties of the same citizens he is set to protect. Lest I forget, despite eye witness claims he adamantly insisted he was in the right and finally entered his vehicle and zoomed off leaving us at the scene. Lagos state and the driver must repair every single damage made to this car‼️‼️ I cannot be working so hard and pouring my salary into repairing damages caused by wicked and unruly drivers of Lagos State Govt. and Lagos Metropolitan Area Transport Authority LAMATA I am ready to come to their office to substantiate every claim written in this tweet. Babajide Sanwo-Olu where do I see money to repair this damage your driver caused to this car?💔💔💔 I am a mere salary earner trying to fend for myself. Frame 1: shows the damage, Frame 2: raining insults, Frame 3: passenger apologizing on his behalf(driver in navy blue), Frame 4: him driving off

In fifteen years of nursing I've watched countless patients say goodbye to the people they love — but I'd never seen a goodbye like the one in that dim hospital room at 2 a.m., when a dying old man reached a trembling hand down to the dog they'd smuggled in for him, rested it on that grey head, and whispered four words I'll never forget: "Don't leave me, boy." His name was Frank, eighty-four, and he'd come to us in his final decline with almost no one. A widower. His kids scattered across the country, one on a plane that wouldn't land in time. He wasn't afraid, the way some are. He was just… alone, in that particular way that breaks a nurse's heart no matter how many times you see it. He talked about one thing more than any other. Not his children. Not the past. A dog. An old shepherd mix named Duke he'd had for twelve years, who was staying with a neighbor while Frank was in the hospital. "Is Duke okay?" he'd ask. "Somebody's feeding Duke?" Over and over. That dog was clearly the great love of his quiet later years. On his last night, when it was clear he had hours and not days, I made a call I probably shouldn't have. I phoned that neighbor at midnight. And bless her, she got in her car and brought Duke to the hospital, and we quietly walked that old dog up the back way and into Frank's dim room. Duke went straight to the bed like he'd been looking for it his whole life. He put his front paws up on the mattress and pushed his big grey head against Frank's side, and the old man — who'd barely moved in a day — slowly, slowly lifted one shaking hand and laid it on the dog's head. His eyes were wet. His voice was barely there. But we all heard it. "There you are," he breathed. "Don't leave me, boy. Stay with your old man." Duke let out a low sound and pressed closer, and he did not move from that bed. And what happened in the hours after is something none of us on that floor have ever been able to talk about without our voices giving out.

Yesterday my dog, Fischer, died suddenly and unexpectedly. I’m still in shock, blindsided by it all. He was as central a member of my family as any person. I’d like to tell you his story, briefly. 8 years ago, my 12-year old dog, Bandit, died after a long battle with kidney disease. A week later on a fishing trip, my brother encountered an abandoned, starving dog that swam out to his boat. When no owner could be found, I reluctantly took the dog in, and named him Fischer. I’m so glad I did. Along with his older sister, Daisy, he was my pandemic dog, my hiking buddy, and my left armrest while watching tv or gaming. He loved pawing at Red XIII (which we jokingly called him, the counterpart to my other dog, a Torgal lookalike), and he loved play fighting me while I tried to make my bed after he would crawl in it during the night. He loved playing fetch, and especially curling up against me for safety during storms. He was 90 pounds of rambunctious devotion. And God he loved me. We unknowingly spent his final morning on a hike. He chased and ran and played like usual. It was a perfect last memory with him, doing what we loved doing together most. He was “a fine hound,” and one of my favorite blessings. We’re going to miss him so much, but are so thankful for his life. That’s the thing about gratitude. It commingles with grief in such a way that both can breathe. And in that way, I guess I can breathe, too. At least, that’s what I’m trying to practice. Every gasp of sadness is met with an exhale of gratitude. I know many of you loved seeing him on stream. The couch behind me may have a Red XIII-sized hole now, but I’ll always cherish the memories of us in that room. Maybe we’ll do a Fischer stream and talk about grief soon, but I’ll need a minute. Today though, I want to thank you all for loving him, and me, so well. Thanks, everyone, for your prayers and support as I breathe through this.

He was a U.S. Army veteran. But he was also someone’s son, someone's husband, someone's father. And when these bright yellow blooms caught my eye, I just had to know more about him. Here is what I learned: Samuel Shannon was born in 1892 to Cap and Henrietta 'Hainsy' Shannon in a quiet corner of rural South Carolina. Today, his grave rests at New Zion Baptist Church, where every spring daffodils bloom around his headstone, providing a bright and beautiful reminder that someone loved him enough to plant something beautiful in his memory. When I began researching his life, I learned that Samuel (age 26) enlisted in the Army on June 20, 1918, during the final, intense months of World War I. During this period, the U.S. military was rapidly building units to support the fighting overseas. Samuel served as a Private in the 19th Regiment FARD (Field Artillery Replacement Depot), an all-Black regiment formed at Camp Jackson, South Carolina, created to train artillerymen for service. After the war, he returned home to South Carolina and worked as a farmer, married a woman named Rosetta McDaniel, and started a family. But tragedy struck in 1949 when Samuel spent 93 days in the hospital before succumbing to myeloma in 1950. He was 57 years old. The census taken that same year shows that his wife, Rosetta, was 38 and left to care for six children between the ages of 2 and 15. The records indicate she worked on the farm in exchange for renting their home to help support the family. A year after Samuel's death, in 1951, Rosetta Shannon applied to the Veterans Administration for the military headstone that now marks his grave. I can’t help but wonder if she was the one who planted these daffodils so he would be remembered every spring. 📍 New Zion Baptist Church | Rock Hill, South Carolina

The Boulder Police Department is trying to find two possible victims after a hit and run near the Bolder Boulder race yesterday. Just after 8:15 a.m. on Monday, May 27, bike officers contacted and stopped a driver in the Whole Foods parking lot on Pearl Street after receiving reports of a driver acting strangely at a nearby race barricade, wearing a ski mask and then running two stop signs. Despite stopping briefly and talking with officers, the driver then ignored officers’ commands and drove off. The suspect was driving a brown Ford Explorer when he struck another car in the parking lot and nearly hit a woman walking nearby before driving off. He continued driving away from officers and headed toward blocked off roads where race participants were running. Numerous officers coordinated to keep the driver from entering the racecourse and conducted a pinch maneuver to stop the car. The suspect was then taken into custody. Officers would like to speak to the owner of the vehicle that was struck and to the woman who was almost hit, who might have been an early race runner or a spectator, seen in this video clip. “We are all very thankful that these two community members appear to be okay despite what happened and that we stopped this man before he could get any closer to the race,” interim Boulder Police Chief Stephen Redfearn said. “Crimes like this are exactly what we train for and we have been preparing for this event for months, both internally with our drone, Patrol, SWAT, K9 and Traffic teams and with our partners at CU, the Bolder Boulder, several Boulder County public safety agencies as well as community members. I’m very proud of how swiftly our officers protected the community yesterday and I’m hopeful we can find these two people.” Boulder Police ask anyone who knows who these two victims are or has any information about this incident to please contact Detective E. Quayle [email protected] or 720-564-2078 reference case 24-05068. The suspect is facing charges of vehicular eluding, hit and run, reckless endangerment, obstruction, driving without a valid driver’s license and driving without insurance. Additional charges are possible. As in every criminal case, these charges are an accusation, and the defendant is presumed innocent unless or until proven guilty #boulder #bouldercolorado
