The same states that don't think you need ID to vote. Draw your own conclusions.

it’s so hilarious that they think anyone using an open source OS is going to comply with this double digit IQ nonsense. I’ll surgically remove whatever fuckass installation step they are envisioning, and if anything requires some kind of certificate it will be cracked on day one.

Is that some kind of WEF campaign? Why is that topic popping up everywhere?

What do they do with server os'es? The ones that serves thousands of potentially anonymous users? And is installed by no one particular person.

All of these states are violating the first and fourth amendments. These lawmakers are traitors to the USA

It just shows no business is safe when local governments can't be trusted. Most of the blue states will jump on board, and will be interesting to see what VA does. They might carve out an exception for data centers that allow them to add a tax and tap for cloud usage.

At some point we are going to have to get rid of people who cant even get into their email on their own, from having influence and control over technology and how laws apply to them.

The Linux ecosystem is so vast that any of these companies that decides to comply with these regulations could see the end of their existence with mass exodus to other flavors that are flat out refusing these bogus mandates.

I just called my representatives to get the one here in California removed but now it's spreading to the other states we need to fight back anyways.

The short answer is ALL OF THEM. It has been decided on high that there shall be age verification, and it shall be so. The tyrants in Davos have spoken, thy will be done.

This is going to take a supreme court action to correct, isn't it.

Where is our fearless @POTUS on this matter? We need to block this bullshit at every point. Seriously. This needs to stop before we have Zero privacy on our own computers / phones / routers / switches / TVs / Game systems / etc.

It is simply to get a single system identifier to link all your online activity to the device your using it on. Digital ID 1.0 Compliance with this is the beginning of the end.

I want to know who is pushing this, it’s not just politicians. I want names, faces, and investment portfolios.

I guess liberals want to become luddites. Is there some burning problem in the Linux, Raspberry Pi, etc community that is causing crime to spike? No? Didn't think so. Fine pull the tech out of blue states.

This all started overseas... something tells me it will be every blue state, soon. This will have to be thrown out in the courts or even SCOTUS.

this is about enabling cancelling of people from all the services they use at one go. Currently in each system the user has a different id so cancelling them everywhere is time consuming. For each system they have to know the user's id in that system.

That is because we have too many boomers in decision-making positions; they are not made for this new era. On the other side, if all distributions agree to prohibit their use, including remotely, in any state that requires age verification, those states wouldn't last one day.

Of course they're joining in...After getting fuck all in the way of pushback from all the bigger Linux players, why wouldn't they?! This could have been snuffed out in it's crib but you've got a bunch of "Regulate me harder, Daddy!" bitches doing the heavy lifting for them.

The same states that are pushing DIGITAL ID are also pushing for no id to vote, mass illegal immigration with child traffickers, want women to be able to kill their babies up until and after birth, and want to allow schools to give kids drugs and change their bodies if they think they don't fit in. This is not about protecting kids, it's about the eventual control and censorship of the internet and your computer.

Linux? 😂😂😂😂😂 So, they don´t know how Linux, or unix works? Funny... For them open source is a company name? Get Kali, or ParrotOS now and they can kiss you, where the sun doesn´t shine on.
