i always go back all the things that happened immediately after this… ilya had to watch shane walk past him when he left… ilya had to clean up their dishes… ilya was alone. no one knew what was going on so he didn’t even have a friend to go to. he was just fully alone ☹️

i love that in the middle of them having this intense conversation shane immediately catches on that ilya is crying and goes to comfort him. he doesn’t push ilya to keep talking, that’s literally shane’s baby

thinking about how ilya couldn’t really remember what shane said to him the first time they met but something ilya does remember is shane’s warm hand when he shook his. that warmth is something that stayed with ilya all these years. shane brought warmth into ilya’s world

Even tho Ilya brushed it off, Shane sees right through his act and he is conscious how much his running away last time actually hurt Ilya. So it's so important that Shane acknowledged that and apologized for it. Cause contrary to what Ilya certainly believed, it wasn't anything HE did that made Shane flee, it was just Shane's own fears/insecurities talking. To reach that level of intimacy with Ilya, calling each other's names, that was one step too much at that time.. But it was NOT Ilya's fault. He needed to hear that, truly 😭 #hollanov #heatedrivalry

the way Ilya immediately realizes, the second he sees Miles, that Shane was in the same damn club. and that sigh he lets out when he sees Shane dancing with Rose… it’s just too much to handle

When people say Shane doesn’t love Ilya, but here he is, asking with tears in his eyes if Ilya wants Shane to go away, because he was ready to sacrifice his own happiness just so Ilya could have safe, “normal” life with a woman

Shane’s face shifting to serious after he asks “and if you win?” bc that’s Shane asking Ilya what he wants. After all the tension & time apart does Ilya still want him the way he wants Ilya? As far as Shane is concerned, their fate hangs in that moment before Ilya kisses him.

Shane didn’t grind his waist back. Ilya was already in the mood and wanted Shane. Shane said he might not last long during intercourse because he hadn’t had it for a while. Watch 👇🏿🌈

Shane panicking because he’s realizing what he feels for Ilya in this moment. Ilya trying to revert back to their more lighthearted dynamic to keep Shane from leaving and ending their current situationship. Oh, my heart was breaking for both of them. #HeatedRivalry #hrspoilers

this was so family coded, Ilya’s hand in Shane’s back, Yuna and David referring to both of them, the “please text” and then the relief Shane lets go in the moment Ilya touch the back of his head 😭

When they were on the rooftop, in Las Vegas, Shane was terrified to be seen while Ilya rushed for a kiss. There, the fact that Ilya is the one checking up, that no one is around before deciding to put his hand closer to Shane's, feels so thoughtful. There's also a change, in the way Shane doesn't seem like caring at all about the world around them, it's just him & Ilya in this moment. Contemplating one of the most beautiful show Nature has to offer, a magnificent sunset, gently touching the hand of the man that is making him feel all those butterflies.. The last time, he ran away, but there Shane is embracing the feeling. And it's just so right 💓 #heatedrivalry

your friendly reminder that after ilya got scared, shane recreated a protective loon call to signal defense and tell other loons to “back off” because he wanted to protect ilya :)
