🔝 I'm still a rapper. I still write music. I'm a musician so i knew what kind of rap Thanos had to do to make him look cringe and weird. When I first read the script, I actually had to come face to face with ny past mistake when I was looking at Thanos and it required a lot of courage for me to take on this role but Director Hwang had so much trust in me that I could muster up the courage to take on the role 🔝 I don't think Thanos is a flat villain with just menace but he's kind of like a man-child. He doesn't know what to do. He's a little bit comedic but while playing this character, I think it was also an opportunity for me to self-reflect on my past and really think about what I've done wrong. 🔝 Through Squid Game and through thid character Thanos I feel like I have done my self-reflection and I'm ready to move on to the next chapter of my life. "honestly, i don't think i'm very good at letting (my characters) go. once i take on a project, i end up doing it for about 8 to 10 months, and i feel like my way of speaking and habits from that time remain a bit. so even after a project wraps up, that character actually stays with me for a while. but when that happens, i try as much as possible not to do the things that the character used to do for 8 months. for example like a certain posture or things like that. and then i cut my hair from when i played that character to try and see a different image of myself too. but honestly, even if i cut my hair, that character doesn't really go away. so for me, honestly, rather than saying 'i'm letting them go', i just always cherish them and no matter what project i do in the future, i feel like there will still be moments where i think of that character. since i consider (those) moments to be a part of who i am too, i actually really like seeing those moments keep piling up within me."
