I tried to see how far I could push my current AI + 3D workflow and build a playable 3D game prototype in just 3 days😶 Not by asking AI to make the whole game in one prompt. I had my own idea, knew what I wanted to build, and used AI as a tool: - for concepting, - asset generation & texturing, - gameplay logic with the new UE 5.8 MCP + Claude Code. Ok, this is absurd. You can choreograph a complex action scene in Blender with basic shapes, then let Seedance make it real. You need to try this AI filmmaking workflow: 1. Generate a start frame in Midjourney 2. Block out the action in Blender 3. Feed both to Seedance My Blender reference was just rough timing, camera shake, and spatial choreography, and Seedance tracked the speed, motion, and action way better than I expected. This is the difference between describing a shot and directing one.

The previs workflow is still leveling up! My AI filmmaking process is starting to feel less like wrangling AI and more like animation. Still just cubes in Blender, but now I’m moving the character through space and doing a handheld camera follow. Same basic process: 1. Generate a start frame in Midjourney 2. Block out the scene in Blender, animate the camera 3. Feed both to Seedance Seedance nailed the gritty handheld feel and followed the character movement around the car way better than expected. You can get way more ambitious with your directing than I thought.

I still can't believe this works! Every filmmaker needs to try the hybrid AI filmmaking + Blender previs workflow for precise camera control. AI dialogue is still flat but I'm going to dive into solving that next. My workflow: 1. Generate a start frame in Midjourney 2. Block out the scene in Blender, animate the camera 3. Feed both to Seedance So much of cinematic storytelling is composition, timing, and giving the viewer a spatial understanding of the scene. You can solve all of that before you ever touch the video model.

Tested this concepting workflow. ▶️ Converting a level design image to a 3D asset gallery image ▶️ re-generating segmented subjects into separate high quality images. ▶️ using these images to generate the 3D meshes. First time using 'for loops' in ComfyUI, works great and the prompts are updated for every segment. I used the Nano Banana 2 API node in ComfyUI to generate the final high quality images. Those SAM3 nodes are crazy btw, just set some points and it creates a mask! For the 3D model generation I used the new Tripo Smart Mesh tool, which is fast! The output is not perfect yet. I think in a lot of cases not production ready right now but that depends on the input image and the goal as well. For pre-production / concepting phase it's perfect and for far distance meshes it’s fine. I’m sure these tools keep improving, curious what we can work with in 3-6 months. Minimal cleanup and scaling in Blender and tested the meshes in UEFN / Unreal Engine. After creating the ComfyUI workflow it took less than an hour to do everything.

I'm still having an amazing time with Metroid Prime 4, the atmosphere is unmatched. I'm much farther past this part in my video here, but if I compared it to Metroid Prime 3 this far in, Prime 4 is already easily better. I'll decide on vs Prime 1 and 2 when I'm done with it.
