pops was 1st SF Green Beret, after he died in 2009, I would wear his tshirts and sweatshirts w the green beret logo around the house and i'd tell mama they were hugs from dad. Forgot one day, and wore one to the grocery store. Had men coming up to me and talking to me about it. I explained it was dad's and was a hug from him. I felt really bad and kinda stupid. On the way home, I told mama to make sure I never wore pops' shirts outside the house! I viewed it as a form of stolen valor and I never made that same mistake agaian! On a positive note, those men from the grocery store are still very nice to us. :) GOD BLESS OUR TROOPS (PAST AND PRESENT)! Let FREEDOM RING! 1
