I'm doing the same thing. I realized pretty quickly that the code generated by LLMs is just like what my junior developers come up with. The difference is they are done much faster and you can steer them in real time. The people saying that the code they generate is shit is because they have never had junior developers working under them. Yeah, the code can be shit. It needs code review and guidance. Just like a junior developer. The days of garage startups have returned. Except now its a team of one doing the work of 10. And because your costs are so low, you can undercut the other apps out there by 90%.
You nailed it. I have experienced everything you said. My past management background has been valuable in my interactions with AI agents. You need to nurture, support, and discipline them as needed. Also, explaining everything clearly is very important too.
Does AI find product market fit for you? Because churning out code was never the problem, and I find it highly suspicious that the people promoting generative AI are always hyper-focused on the thing that wasn’t the problem in the first place.
"7 apps + a startup in 10 months." Great now show us which of those 7 succeeded. Which was the start up? Building is NOT the hard part, promoting and getting it our in front of people is. None of it matters if there's 0 cash flow or it contributes nothing to any of the communities.

Never coded, but always wanted to. Started for the first time 3 weeks ago. Was using Claude code, & now Cursor to build a Webapp to help improve a work process. Really enjoying it & looking forward to improving my skills! Excited for the future & bringing some ideas to life 😀
I like what we have available now so much. AI made it much easier and faster. I switched from Windsurf to Warp and am using it daily. Built 3 Chrome extensions, numerous internal tools in NodeJS, and 2 SaaS apps. It's amazing!

@Replit Thanks! Funny thing — I realized through a few iterations that I can just ask @replit to update my change log and roadmap pages for me. Everything stays dynamic, no manual edits needed. Total lucky discovery, but it works great.

Exactly in the same situation! I coded for years, then built a team, so ended up not coding the last 15 years. Now making the time to discover new things, first with windsurf, now with claude code, Google Ai, etc.. It's exciting, and it's fun to be learning again!
Last year, I built a game inspired by TradeWars 2002, featuring an integrated AI co-pilot to enhance gameplay. I shelved it for a year to see how advancements in AI could further improve the project. Initially, I could only process individual files through AI for development support. Now, using Grok, I can analyze the entire codebase at once, gaining insights into potential enhancements that elevate both my game (no pun) and the classic TradeWars experience.
Totally, this era really did level the playing field. Even non-tech folks can ship stuff now, and doing it alongside a full-time job is the sweet spot: build small, prove it, then decide if you want to jump. Best part is lower risk, faster learning, and actual momentum instead of months of agonizing learning. Go for it.

Absolutely mazing.... just one suggestion. During the night keep more light behind the screens helps you minimize the glare from the screen and increase the yellow on the screen a bit. Will help you reduce the strain on the eyes.

I am not sure which agents you have used, but Claud Sonet Opus 4.1 has been extremely sharp for me. I do agree that you need to install guardrails and keep monitoring their output and actions.
@BawdyAnarchist_ +1^^ Claude Code/Opus 4.1 has been excellent. my only complaint is that it seems during random times (probably high traffic) Anthropic will downgrade the models and the responses you get will be significantly worse
