"I'm committed to David... we're going to move forward. I thought we had a great trade deadline. David is smart. He knows what he's doing. He's very adaptable. He learns from mistakes. That's what I want in a leader." - Steve Cohen on David Stearns

Steve Cohen was asked what mistakes he thinks David Stearns made this year: "We might have taken too much risk. Whenever there are significant changes, sometimes it takes a while to integrate."

Steve is trying to prevent from looking like someone who fires people, but instead he’s looking like a cuck who allows failure with zero consequences

Translation: Expect to wait at least another 40 years for a championship.

David led us to a 70 win season. Where do you get this concept of his brilliance

Has he learned we’ll always lag behind the rest of the league if he doesn’t commit more than 3 years to a player?

Stearns never should have been hired in the first place. Neither he nor Cohen has a clue what they're doing.

When @StevenACohen2 was asked about mistakes I was hoping he would finally own the worst kept secret in NY. And that was not signing Pete Alonso was a huge mistake. Alonso should have retired a MET. Overpaying as an excuse was bullsh*t. Half the roster is overpaid.

David Stearns has worked some voodoo on Steve Cohen because he sees something in him we do not. The last place status of the #Mets in spite of the 2nd highest payroll, should indicate Stearns doesn't have it.

Cohen is clueless. Unreal. We are never going to win a Championship. I've subjected my children to the same summers of hell that I've lived the last 49 years.

The #1 problem with the Mets right now is Steve Cohen. This has nothing to do with David Stearns.

Steve is going to start making us wish for the days of the wilpons. Sure we spend more money now - but only on short term contracts for broken down players like polanco, Robert, semien, etc. Soto being the exception no thanks to boy genius

@TioALnyc Stearns is still owed $20MM over next two years. He’s not getting fired now even though the franchise has bled out millions on his watch with one of the worst teams in baseball.

He’s adaptable except when it comes to paying premium pitchers, playing players at their actual positions and hiring a manager who has experience. We’ll see how well he adapts this offseason…

A fan since 1985, this is absolutely laughable and embarrassing, the fact he wants to move forward with Stearns says enough about the direction and future of this cursed franchise. I'll wait for SOTO to ask for a trade next year when he realizes he made a career mistake.

terrible move that has already set the franchise back several years. I wont be back until he’s gone.
