She could've consulted Wan more, that's how she found out about raava and Vaatu in the first place. Kuruk could've given Korra guidance with the spirit situation since he dealt with the spirits himself in the beginning of season two actually putting a whole stop to Uncle Unalaq BS Aang gave Korra access to the Avatar state after she lost it so it imply Aang would be of no use to help Korra is weird since he tried to warn her about tarrlok and she was a spiritual failure. She had thousands of past lives to consult, she never tried, it would've been nice to get to know different Avatars in the line, and see how Korra would've interacted with them. But we never get that besides the one time with Aang.
