And this is why I rescue cats - so they can have good, loving homes.

When my cat first came to our home, it acted exactly the same. But we didn’t corner him to pat him, instead, we let him hide for two days, giving him time to feel comfy. He eventually came out meowing to us, and we patted him. From then on he trusted us and joined the family.
