I'm currently prototyping an experimental game using billboard rendering. It’s technically quite challenging, so I’m not sure how far I can get on my own—but I’m giving it a shot. This project is inspired by brilliant games like Minecraft and Fez. #indiedev #godotengine

My guess is that billboard rendering is cheap, so your world could be huge! This world (prototype or not) looks amazing

Thanks a lot! I thought it would be lightweight too, but it’s actually more taxing than I expected. There are a few reasons for that. I’ll need to find some clever tricks to make the world even bigger—but I’m definitely going to keep experimenting!
