Great work young man! Post your passions, and as you will come to learn, ignore the haters. Push beyond your limits and be comfortable with being uncomfortable. Also, not many people say this, respect and appreciate your work in the same vein that you appreciate others; You've walked a thousand steps to get here and will walk another ten-thousand as you evolve, the first thousand you've walked deserves grace.

Thank you!

we have a booth at opensauce, want to show your gear there - we just have one condition

Interesting, I'll be at opensauce in three weeks! What are you thinking?

@davidliuxyz ooh i will be at opensauce too

@davidliuxyz See you there

Really cool projects! If you don’t mind me asking, what is the overall purpose of these projects? Are you making them to just learn and have fun? And what do you want to be once you’re done with college? Hope to see more cool posts and projects in the future!

Some of it's for fun, like the robot or claw machine, but I'm really trying to push the portable 3D printer beyond just personal project now. It's a different challenge making something that people can actually use

Very fair lol Is making it more consumer-esque meant so you can sell it or so you learn manufacturing at scale? Both skills can be very valuable :P

Not sure if I have the skills to sell it effectively, but that would only happen anyway if the design is flawless which I'm far from. Just want to see it being used

I have a better solution for multi-axis slicing that doesn't use the tetrahedral mesh approach. It uses a combined voxel and geometric analysis. However I don't have a multi-axis printer, so can't try it effectively. I'd be keen to talk.

Could you quickly outline the slicing approach?

2) You cannot print where it will block future parts of the print. You can model (1) as field propagation. You can model (2) by after each propagation step, checking reachability.

Very cool work, word of advise for old guy using og Ender 3? I didn't have time to operate it yet and kept messing the calibration part so cant even do the benchy ship

Oh I remember my old ender 3. If you're struggling with the leveling, I always found the paper trick under the nozzle to be helpful

Thanks, I liked your latest video

this is sickk

this is so rad!

It’s beautiful.

Incredible work Ethan! Keep it up, will be cheering you on the whole way. Excited to see what changes you bring to the world of robotics and 3D printing! 👏

You’re amazing, you should become a mechanical engineer

Aspiring to become one!

mate i need those swivel wheels deep dive on those please!!!!!

followed

Nice work! Where can I learn more about your omnidirectional wheel setup? This has been a curiosity of mine for years!

You’re a fucking legend bro

some boomer is going to try to exploit & abuse you brah, protect yourself & keep this as a personally enriching hobby until you can self fund. Invest in total boomer destruction abusive nursing homes in the meantime to get your nut, tell genX corpos to fuck off

Jeez kid you seem pretty smart.

@1a1n1d1y

Ethan, I found you just now from a repost from i2cjak and I have to say I am most impressed with your work. I have a Prusa MK4S and a Bambu P1S that I used to design stuff for my CNC but your stuff is next level. I'm glad there are people out there like you...

Way to go Ethan

Absolutely insane
