By all accounts he still loved the fans. He actually came back to Lubbock and I had him sign his book while I was in school. He held contempt for the administration.

Yeah he didn't have any issue at all with the fans. But I'm fairly confident that if he was still alive and the administration came to him with this idea, he'd have some choice words for them.

I think Mike Leach just wanted what he was owed.

They can honor him by paying his family the money they owed him. Otherwise it's meaningless and posturing.
