Do you fully stalk your victims to level 3 before killing them, or do you just go in for the kill if they start running? What's your strategy?

I try to always fully stalk, their stam regen is much slower when fully stalked and you can appear next to them much closer when fully stalked

I was thinking of a mechanic that allows Civs a CHANCE of escaping Mike when he stumbles you. A random button appears that you have to press within 0.3 secs. Succeed and you dodge out. This will punish Civs for being jump scared and not being calm or focused while rewarding Mike
