The equation is 0.01 x 2^{n-1}. Therefore, two to the power of 29, not 30. Still more than $1 million, but you would receive $5,368,709.12, not $10 million.

Do all the new pennies also double, or only that original penny? It says *A* penny that doubles. Because if it's only the original penny, I'll take the million.

It says a penny, which is singular. That's 31 pennies. Unless it's a super rare penny that's worth a lot, I'm going with the million today.

I would verify "compounding" because if it's not compounding, the penny that doubles could mean two cents a day, or 60 cents total.

A penny that doubles every day would provide one additional penny each day. I mean, I know what you're trying to say. It's just repetitive and overdone.
