Just to add on here… • Donald Trump delayed $20 billion of aid to Puerto Rico in violation of the Impoundment Control Act of 1974, after Hurricane Maria hit the island in September of 2017. As a result, Puerto Rico was plunged into darkness and left without access to electricity, water, oxygen or medicines for 181 days. It is estimated that this delay in aid triggered an additional 2,975 deaths after the storm. Discrimination against latinos is suspected to have had a disproportionally large influence in Trump's mismanagement of FEMA's Hurricane Maria response. • It should come as no surprise then that he is the first American president without a single Hispanic at the table in his Cabinet since Ronald Reagan.

When I saw my name on Trump's newest enemies list, the absolute last thing I was going to do was the same thing all those other cowards did: fold to Trump, get themselves out of trouble, and not think about the effect that it was having on everybody else.
