Keloids are more common in certain racial groups as well as during periods of hormonal disruption. Based on her apparent race and her voice, she may be on progestins for gender-affirming menstrual suppression which mimics the high levels of progesterone during pregnancy (much higher than any point in the menstrual cycle) and this may have made her more prone to keloid formation when she got top surgery.
