Last night, I saw police protecting a hotel full of illegal migrants, while ordinary citizens stood alone, betrayed by the very system meant to protect them. Why were there police vans miles out in every direction? Not for the victims. Not for our daughters. But for those who should not even be here. Today, it was someone else’s daughter. Don’t wait until it’s yours. This is no longer about Left or Right. This is about “Right and Wrong”. Peaceful protests are not a provocation. They are a citizen’s cry for justice and safety. I’m joining those on the front line. Will you? Because only when we stand together, will this Government be forced to listen. Enough is Enough

We’ve all been in this situation where you’ve got a HGV in front of you and you’re coming up to the junction you want, but what do you do ? Do you stay behind at a safe distance and wait or do you cut in front at the last minute ? Remember the braking distance of a HGV is much greater than a car or van. As a HGV driver I see this daily and I’m constantly planning ahead. A vehicle cutting in front of us at the last minute can cause issues and potentially an accident, we’ve already created a safe distance to start braking. For the vehicle that has just cut in, you don’t know what’s going on with other vehicles in front of you. For the sake of a couple minutes being stuck behind us, just be patient and keep a safe distance. It’s just terrible, the violence, the division, it’s just really disappointing. I’m really disappointed in all of it. You wish you could influence it, but you really can’t from our position. That’s really awful to hear, I don’t know enough about it to comment on it, all of it just really really breaks my heart.

But there's a time for everything: a time to serve the people, and a time to hand back the power they entrusted to you. Article 64 of our Constitution doesn't just give every Congolese citizen the right to stand against any seizure or exercise of power that violates the law — it makes it a duty. I'm exercising that duty. And I stand by it. I've always said it, and I'll say it again: when you come for the Constitution, you come for the people. And the Congolese people will not stand for it.
