My advice is to lean into exaggerating the atmospheric perspective and layering the border walls a little to create a better sense of parallax depth. While it may not be perfectly accurate to the early 32-64bit games, it will add a ton of appeal without breaking the tone.

Oh yes this makes sense. Ill have to look into good ways on improving thqt aspect I think.

Yeah im torn between if i want to hit the n64 or ps1 style. Maybe just a setting

Something about the rendering style is bothering me veeeeeeeery slightly. The fog, maybe? Something about it feels like it's clashing with the low-poly aesthetic to me, but I don't think most people will care. Overall, this is very pretty, I think. Great work!

New more wood colors, the trunks on the outer area could be varied with greens and browns to give depth of the forest

Ohhh this style reminds me of the game Fatum Betula (tw low poly gore) and you might find inspiration looking at that! :D
