There is a very specific type of chaos in watching someone be this incredibly good and incredibly bad at the same time. It’s like watching a speed-run of your childhood memories where everything is moving too fast to process, but it’s still coming out perfectly. In 1994, the first 32-bit next-generation console appeared, and it was the 3DO. What surprised me the most was that Super Street Fighter II X, which was hugely popular in arcades at the time, was available on this system. I still remember standing in a game shop, completely mesmerized, staring at that game for a long time. I was really hoping it would come out on the Super Famicom too, but maybe because of hardware limitations, it never did. That made it even more shocking. By the way, the model I’m talking about is the 3DO ALIVE 2 made by LG Electronics. For a lot of foreign friends, this is probably something they’ve never seen before.
