Turn two plugs into one and if it needs replacing for any reason, it will take 10x longer.

That’s total shit design. Wait until you see how badly damaged the wall around it becomes in a year. 🤡

That’s against code in North America. Junction boxes can not be buried and must remain accessible through mechanical means like screws or a latch. Don’t do this, it’s stupid and illegal.

Good luck if you need to change the plug

you'll have to ruin the whole wall if you need to repair it some day

Most people have 8 things plugged in the double sockets, "Let's make them singles"

Isn’t it a downgrade? I mean, it went from two plugs to only one.

That would never pass an electrical inspection or a U&O inspection here in civilized parts of the US. It a clear violation of NEC (NFPA 70). It’s not serviceable or inspectable!

Clean work like this disappears into the space — and that’s exactly why it stands out.

An electrical device must be accessible. Those connections are no longer accessible. No hiding boxes in Canada anyway

This is stupid. Down to one outlet and that drywall is gonna be chipped all to hell with people poking away at it in the middle of the night with their charging blocks.

So use crap connector that are known to fail to have half the number of outlets, and when it fails and it will fail, I'll have to bust it out of the wall to repair it ... and then replace it with an old style that worked better and have twice as many outlets.

I prefer to keep 2 ugly plugs instead of just 1, regardless of whether it looks stylish. Functionality>Looks

We put plastic around receptacles for a reason. People often plug things in by feel and replacing a cover is a lot easier than patching and painting the wall.
