People with no true, organic, familial, or religious identity still crave to be a part of something bigger than themselves, so they make up a fake identity that matches their dysfunctions. Labels are not going away; they can't because we need them to understand our place in the world and who we belong to and with. What will happen is that we will seek more meaningful labels. As a father, I give my children an identity as my children, part of a long line of amazing people. It means something to be a Revoy and to be my child. Fathers must give their children an identity, or some predator will give them a fake identity to capture their minds and hearts.

Yes. This. We've convinced people that they have to be part of a tribe, and the result is that most of them have no idea who they really are. The people who need to put others, or themselves, in boxes are at worst, dangerous, and at best, tedious.
