“I noticed that the sheets smelled like Aqua Velva & d*ck”- Yahya Abdul-Mateen Yahya was asked, “Do you want to be right or interesting?”. A conundrum he couldn’t solve during a scene in his high school’s presentation of “Mother F*cker with a hat”. Finding a way to get from the smell on his sheets to the “pie place” proved difficult him. Yahya had to get out of his own head, & become a man so in love that he would ignore the smell of d*ck on his own sheets. “I want to be on the right side of history when it’s all said & done”- Charles Tillman on resigning from the FBI. Charles Tillman worked with the FBI for 8 years. He did amazing work there with great people, but some things he just couldn’t do. The public message from Washington was that they would go after the most dangerous criminal element of illegal immigrants, but it was not the reality of the directives. That just didn’t sit right with him. Pivot Podcast on YouTube & all streaming networks. #ThePivot #CharlesTillman #FBI #ICE #Immigration #Podcasts

In 1967, Tony Curtis felt unsatisfied with the recent movies he had starred in. He though his career was losing momentum & needed a new challenge. "The Boston Str@ngler" (1968) provided him the perfect opportunity. He had heard that the producer was looking at many actors to play the title role irrespective of the popularity. Richard Fleischer also wanted Tony Curtis to star in the movie. However, Darryl F. Zanuck didn't think Curtis was right for the part. He thought Curtis was too recognisable to play the character. One day, Curtis took some putty and built himself a big nose, changed his eyelashes, eyebrows and hair. He took photos of himself with his 35mm camera —profiles and front views — and had two dozen eight-by-tens printed up on grainy paper. He gave them to Richard Fleischer, who went to Zanuck's office, threw the pictures on the table, and said, “Here’s your strangler.” Zanuck said, “Yeah, that guy could be him. I like that look—who is it?” , Fleischer replied, “Tony!”. He was then cast in the picture. ("Tony Curtis: The Autobiography", Tony Curtis and Barry Paris, 1993) P.S: Remembering Tony Curtis on his 101st birthday!

“It’s like being around a pit bull. You never when it’s gonna bite you” 50 Cent isn’t doing anything out of character. He’s being the only him he knows how to be. He’s an amazing business man, but I’d be nervous to be a part of his circle. Many of those relationships didn’t last and it feels the fall out is public most of the time. Ricky is proud of himself for staying true to who he is and never feeling the need to change just to fit in or please anyone. He knows himself. He knows he isn’t a people pleaser, and he knows that his personality is different from everyone else’s. In a house where so many people are trying to play the same game, Ricky has chosen to remain unapologetically himself and honestly, where is the lie? 🥹❤️‍🔥 His uniqueness is not something he discovered yesterday, it is something he has carried with him from the beginning. He understands that not everyone will like him, not everyone will understand him, and that’s okay. What matters is that he has never betrayed himself just to be accepted. Ricky has stayed true to his character, stood firmly in his truth, and remained authentic even when it would have been easier to conform. And perhaps that is what has worked for him all along, being Ricky. No pretence. No people-pleasing. No changing himself for anyone. Just a man comfortable enough in his own skin to be unapologetically unique. 👑 Video credit Big Brother Naija #BBNaija #RickyJumbo

😳Nick Apostolides once passed out while recording Leon’s death sounds for Resident Evil 2 Remake. In a recent episode of The Actors Volume podcast, Nick recalled how he pushed himself too far while recording one of Leon’s choking death scenes. He passed out and fell down in the booth while the recording was still running. 😄 Capcom later decided to keep the take and used it in the game. Nick has shared this story before, but it’s still interesting to hear him tell the whole thing himself!

He wasn’t big enough to run a football, tall enough to hoop, or smart enough to become a scholar. It was either a life of hustling in the streets or boxing on the ring. “Odell Beckham Jr. is a living legend.” Odell Beckham Jr is back in New York, and I’m excited for him. When he sat with us on The Pivot last winter, he made it clear this was the opportunity he wanted. Few players have ever changed what it means to be a football superstar the way Odell did. He may not be the same player he once was, but that doesn’t mean he’s done. The right to decide when enough is enough belongs to him and him alone. There’s still more story to write, and if this is how he wants to finish the journey, he’s earned the chance to do it on his terms. The story is not just that John D Rockefeller created the modern allopathic system that’s killing us… by now most everybody knows this. The REAL story is that the scumbag had nothing to do with it himself and he had live-in homeopathic and natural health practitioners all of his life for himself and his family TO THIS DAY! ELITES = PREDATORS Start using correct terminology

I get chills and tears every time rewatching this part. Ashley had to risk it all to get to where she is today with her Charlotte character. You can hate the character, but not the person behind it. She has feelings too that are not made out of steel. That’s why I am so ashamed to those who think that it’s okay to hate a person and bring personal issues to an audience that do nothing but try to dehumanise and exploit for the benefit of their hatred to the character.

“You will never be at a championship level at home, the demands of a college coach are extremely high to have success but I’ve always said, It’s not a balance at home, it’s a blend…We have a work life blend” - Marcus Freeman Coach Freeman spoke very candidly about the demands of a college head coach, & the sacrifices it takes from his family especially his wife Joanna. Lunches at school, and quick office visits from the kids are necessities in order to find the right blend of work and home life. Freeman also knows he needs to set the example of a “Family man” for his locker room. He doesn’t believe that he can do that through “Rah Rah” speeches. He knows it’s about setting an example that can be seen by each of the young men he has the responsibility of coaching. It’s not a perfect science, but it teaches extremely important lessons.
