Education budget too was slashed from 10.89% to 6.57% Had he not been incompetent, there would have been a number of excellent colleges in Telangana itself

I’ve met people in Dubai who left London, New York, Singapore, Moscow. None of them left because Dubai was perfect. They left because everywhere else stopped making sense. The guy from London got tired of paying 45% tax on every win and watching the city get slower every year. The one from New York couldn’t justify the cost of living for what he was actually getting in return. The one from Singapore felt the walls closing in - great infrastructure, zero soul. None of them came here chasing some dream. They came here running from a reality that stopped adding up. And then something unexpected happened. They built more here in 2 years than they did in the previous 10. Not because Dubai gave them anything special. Because it stopped taking things away. No one is telling you Dubai is paradise. The heat is real. The humidity is real. The distance from home is real. But for a specific type of person - the one who’s done apologizing for wanting more - this city makes more sense than anywhere else on earth. BEST COUNTRY IN THE WORLD 🇦🇪

Today, I received a call I will not forget. I had just woken up after studying through the night. As I prepared to pray, my phone kept ringing. I ignored it at first, but it persisted. When I finally answered, the voice on the other end said: “Pastor… my brother has died.” Silence filled my chest. He had been sick. Sleeping outside in the cold after the rains. Trying to survive in a city that is becoming increasingly unforgiving. His sister visited him with some food. He seemed better afterwards. But then, he collapsed and was rushed to the hospital. His sister was far away working. Pain does strange things to people. Sometimes it hardens the very heart that needs help the most. By the time his sister returned… he was already fading. And shortly after, he was gone. What broke me even more was this: She said she didn’t call earlier because she knew things have been tight, and I hadn’t been able to meet many of their needs recently. That sentence pierced deeply. This was a man who struggled—yes. He battled alcoholism. He fell, rose, and fell again. But he also believed. Just last Sunday, after a long absence, he came back to church. He said his spirit was restless until he returned. He worshipped. He served. That was the last time. I wasn’t there that day. And now, he lies in a morgue—another quiet casualty of hardship, addiction, and a city that demands more than many can give. But here is what I hold onto: God is not absent in broken stories. The same grace that meets us in our strength also meets us in our weakness. The One who began a work is not blind to the battles fought in secret. We must do better—for one another. We must see more, reach more, love more. Because sometimes, what looks like “irresponsibility” is actually exhaustion. What looks like “resistance” is actually pain. And what looks like “distance” is often a silent cry for help. Rest in peace, Brother Hassan Musa. May mercy speak louder than failure. And may God help us to be more present, more compassionate, and more responsive to the burdens around us.

My love for MMA has given me so many gifts that I will never take for granted and one gift that I am most grateful for is being able to travel the world. Because of mma and the UFC I’ve been to the UAE many times and every time I go I fall more and more in love with Abu Dhabi. Abu Dhabi is unlike any other place on earth, from the food, the culture to the hospitality, I’m never short of amazed by this place. Thank you to Experience Abu Dhabi for hosting in me this week and showing me beyond what I thought was possible! I’m so happy with how fast and how popular mma is becoming in Abu Dhabi because that means I’ll get to go back and experience it over and over again. "We dropped Emma off at college Monday morning. Eight hours later I came downstairs and found this. Buddy carried every single stuffed animal from her room to the front door. Every one. Her elephant she's had since she was four. The bear from her first Christmas. Every single one. He arranged himself right in the middle of all of them and he hasn't moved. He's 10 years old. He's been her dog since she was seven. I have no words for what I am looking at. I have no words for any of today." My husband thinks Buddy was trying to bring her back. I think he was doing the only thing he knew how to do — gathering everything that smelled like her and bringing it to the place she always comes back to. He did it one by one. All evening. While we sat in a quiet house not knowing what to do with ourselves. He knew what to do. He's 10 years old. His muzzle is going gray. He carried every single one. Emma called tonight to say she's okay. I told her what Buddy did. She was quiet for a long time. Then she said — "Don't move them. Leave them right there. I'm coming home Friday." We haven't moved a single one. Buddy is still in the middle of all of them. Waiting for Friday the way he has always waited for her — completely and without any doubt that she is coming. He has always been right about that. Drop a ❤️ for Buddy. And for every dog waiting by a door tonight for someone who is coming back Friday. They know. They always know.
