I’m practicing being on camera. I hate it. I’m playing around with an app called Captions to edit my videos with captions and effects. (I saw Brett Simba liked the app on IG 😭) any suggestions better than this app? I’m not a content creator. Idk what I’m doing.... I’m nervous af. Thanks to .E V A T R O N I C Alex2Tick and Matt for trying to coach me and give me tips for lighting and angles. Lighting and angles makes a huge difference. @BrettSimba Not joking here, but have you thought about cloning yourself using AI? I've seen quite a few of those videos on YouTube. Maybe it'll work better for you. You'll still have your likeness and you'll be able to communicate your thoughts more effectively

I'd start with "How to Clone yourself for videos using AI". Don't know how hard that would be, maybe Claude can help.

@BrettSimba I like Descript a lot for recording and editing. Just be yourself it gets more natural the more you do it.

Lol. Those screws will be assets later on. Don't be afraid to pause, don't worry about umms, smile in the beginning when welcoming and when sighing off. Be authentic tho. Everyone can feel it when watching. You are doing pretty well, you just need more time on camera.

Nope. Hours and hours. Maybe watch someone you like. Read the closed captions with audio on, then on mute, catch their cadence. Ditch the videos after a while and you pick up some good habits. Eventually you'll have dreams (or nightmare). That's your brain learning while zzz

Ya’llllll I wanted to create an AI clone of myself so that I can just type in the script and have it done. I think it is trial and error when it comes to lighting and all of that. As far as a video being edited with captions etc. I’d love to find something that will automatically do it and this app did but it’s not really my style. lol

@BrettSimba Why are you nervous? If your confident on your subject matter you have nothing to be nervous about... I know its easier said than done but practice in the mirror so you can see yourself and see what others see. Just practice til it just feels like your talking to yourself.

I have severe stage fright. I’ve always had it. It has nothing to do with the subject matter. I blank out and get numb when I speak. It’s a reason I have to take an anti anxiety med before I speak. My legs go numb. My chest hurts. Words won’t come out lol 🤣 🤷‍♀️ and it’s more exacerbated on camera.

Do you remember why or what brought it on? Im just saying generally speaking it may be something you can work though. But either way kudos for getting up there 😊

I don’t mean that, I mean what are you using for recording your face and formatting with what you’re sharing lol

its just a webcam Logitech or something like that lol I bought some expensive cam with all these expensive gadgets and the lighting etc. wouldn't fit cuz my desk is against the wall... I didn't know how to set up the camera and it was on a tripod in front of my screen, it was in the way, it just wasn't for me... lol but I think the app i used added overlay stuff over the whole video

@BrettSimba Adobe premier is pretty easy if you just stick to the basics. And plenty of room to get more sophisticated. Resolve is even better but more pro-oriented.
