I’ve never heard of the first person to touch the ground part of the simultaneous catch rule. I’ve always been under the assumption that in a simultaneous catch, the WR has possession.

If its in contention [both guys got hands on it], then the first guy to touch ground wins which was the NC State guy, so it would have been an INT. But because the replay could not show definitive proof that NC State guy had possession, the original call stands. Goofy rule.

What it wasn’t was an incompletion. How you can watch this in slow motion and not make a correct call means your highly INCOMPETENT and should be fired immediately. Too much money is changing hands because of total ignorance and needs to be eliminated.
