I’m really not trying to throw shade because I love when people get into shape but this is an aerobics class in Paris and I noticed a couple things. The instructor acts kind of like Richard Simmons and the music is from the 80’s. Also, do the French have... show more

Man, a really candid reflection from Payton Talbott on time, death and the pressure to make the most of life: “I feel like I don’t have any time. I’m 28 years old and I feel like I’m gonna die in a couple years. Time is going by so fast, and I feel this immense responsibility to do all of these things. But really, it doesn’t matter the amount of things you do. It’s more about how well you do fewer things. The older I get, the more scared I get of death. I’m very scared of death, and it seems to get stronger and stronger the older I get.”

No shade to the folks that do this, but I just don’t get the pin trading craze. I’m glad people like it, but it seems like an intense hobby and a lot of work.

Coco Gauff addresses the new genetic sex testing policy in the Women's Tennis Association. "I understand the reasoning behind it. But I also understand the need to I guess the biological difference and the need to protect that and preserve that... People who don't really care but just want to use this as an excuse to attack the trans community, so I'm not really a big fan of that either... I’m writing this while I’m still in it. Still stressed. Still exhausted. Still after crying. And I’m still working through the night. I need people to understand what this really looks like. The posts you see do not come from some calm, quiet, comfortable life. They are written in the middle of pressure, fatigue, sickness, grief, and responsibility. I take a photo, I write my story, and I post it. Then I keep working. Because I have to. Because my guys need me. Because I cannot give up. Because if I stop, the consequences are real. Every single day, I make the choice to stay here. And yes, sometimes that choice hurts. I am human. I know I could go home. I know there is a beautiful life waiting for me somewhere else. I know what I am missing. I know what rest could look like. I know what peace could feel like. But I stay. I stay because my boys cannot simply go home. I stay because they do not have the freedoms I have as a foreigner under contract. I stay because love is not a feeling here. Love is duty. Love is sacrifice. Love is showing up again and again, even when you are breaking. Right now, I am doing the work of five or six people in this brigade. Not because I have endless strength. Not because I never fall apart. Not because I am some kind of machine. I do it because I care that much. I do it because I am passionate, because I believe in #Ukraine I am a soldier. Not a volunteer. This is not something I step in and out of when it is convenient or I have the energy. This is my duty. 24/7. I save my vacation because when I finally leave for a little while, I do not want a getaway. I do not want a trip. I do not want sightseeing. I do not want Kyiv. I do not want the Carpathians. I want to go home to #Canada. And until the day I can do that, I work. Every post. Every video. Every message. Every fundraiser. I am on duty. Every four to six weeks, I scrape together a few hours to take care of myself and try to remember what normal feels like. But the truth is that I am tired. And some of what I do might look small from the outside. It might look ordinary. It might even look stupid. It is not. Because if I do not do these things, people will die. And yes, they may die anyway. This is war. There are no guarantees here. There are no perfect endings. There is only the fight to give them a better chance, one more chance, any chance at all. YOU give them that fighting chance. And that is why I am asking you, from the deepest and most exhausted part of me, to help. I cannot do this alone. I am one person doing the work of five or six people. But with you, I am not alone. With you, thousands of hands help carry this weight. With you, this burden becomes survivable. With you, these men have more than hope, they have support, action, and a chance to make it through. Please do not scroll past this. Please do not assume someone else will step in. Please do not underestimate how much this matters. #Support93

Bill Maher just weighed in on the Macklemore saga and dropped a heavy dose of common sense on the whole thing. Maher put it perfectly: MAHER: “Is anyone looking for anything of this at a concert? I mean, do I really need a lecture on politics of any stripe, right when the molly is kicking in?” This is one of those 80/20 issues. People are sick of going to a concert to hear their favorite music and instead getting preached to about politics by entertainers who have no more expertise on the subject than the people sitting in the crowd. He didn’t stop with Macklemore...Maher also took a few shots at Bruce Springsteen for doing the exact same thing. MAHER: “I don’t want Bruce Springsteen to do it either. Why is he doing this? What’s the point? Because the people who agree with him, agree with him, but there’s a lot of people, I bet, who are Trump voters who like Bruce Springsteen and always have.” “He looks like one of them, he’s a working class guy. Now they have to go to the concert like, okay, I still like the music, but, you know, really? I don’t love you as much, Mr. Boss.” Bang on take from Bill.

“I’m very aware that I am in a position of privilege right now where I have a lot of resources. I’m creating things form a place of privilege. I’m really, really aware of that privilege. I actually don’t think I ever thought that I would be able to make things at this scale. Sometimes with that scale I suppose it’s humorously glamorous, but also it’s sometimes not. There is still a human being at the center of it […] As a human being, like my work, I’m very contradictory. I can be unbelievably happy and confident, but I can also be really, really depressed and sad […] I love creating things, but sometimes that can be really painful to do that. It can be painful to make things especially I find more so in this day and age. That’s really confusing for me because I’ve put my entire identity into the things that I make […] I’ve invested so much of myself into the things that I make, emotionally. Sometimes making things feels really stressful and embarrassing, but then sometimes it makes me feel alive. I don’t know who I would be without the things I make.”

🧸: the film that I’m in ‘Saming tee soeng sang’ is completely different from a series. When in a series, I get to shoot nicely and pretty in the house/indoors, but in the film, I’m always in the cave. People like to call me a little princess, right? But I feel like not at all. This film will prove to people, and they’ll see that I can go for it (get down with action scenes) – somersaults, front rolls and back rolls, running through things, I’ve done everything. Everyone will be confused like, ‘huh, is this really Miu Natsha?’. Yes, it’s really me. Filming the movie in the cave is quite challenging for me, with me being really new. I’m really proud of myself for getting through it because it has given me many skills and a lot of things. Definitely get to see it at the end of the year. #MiuNatsha #หมิวณัชชา

Zeudi: In the end, yes, I fulfilled my dream of meeting Francesca Fagnani, and it was an immense pleasure. I’m really happy, very happy. She’s an amazing person, an incredible woman, and I also really liked the interview. Some people liked it, others didn’t, that’s fair. But overall, it didn’t go badly. Chat: You in front of Francesca like we are in front of you. Zeudi: Exactly, do you get it? I wasn’t anxious about the interview itself, I was anxious because I was in front of Francesca Fagnani, of course. In fact, when I told the production team, they asked, “Are you nervous?” I said, “The truth is, I’m nervous because I have to sit there in front of Francesca while she asks me questions,” and according to the format of Belve, the show. I said, “No, I’m more anxious about something else.” But come on, it didn’t go that badly. Chat: Francesca is very kind. Yes, she’s super kind. Zeudi: Anyway, yes, I was emotional, but mostly because of Francesca. I’m joking, I was emotional about everything, a bit.

I suppose in like a sibling sense, you know? It's like me reflecting on how much love I have for my fans. And, and kind of trying to encapsulate in lyric the, the relationship that, that we have. These are really difficult things to articulate really, you know, how much of an impact these people make on my career. There's kind of reference to like us kind of growing up together as well, which I think is, is, has been a really nice thing. A long journey. Gege talking about his type of women in real life Host: By the way, Gege-sensei, what type of girls do you like? Gege: Ah, well… I’m not trying to act cool or anything, but as I’ve gotten older, I’ve kind of stopped having a specific “type.” Host: You’re not just trying to sound cool, right? Host: But I think I get what you mean. Gege: Honestly, back in high school, I would seriously say things like, “I like this type ,” or “I like that kind of girl.” But as I’ve grown older year by year, it’s really turned into more of a feeling like, “Everyone is just doing their best … everyone is trying so hard…” That’s how I feel now. Gege: Because of that, when I see someone whose appearance is very neat and properly groomed, since I really like people who take care of themselves and look neat, I think, “They’re really neat,” and I think that’s nice.

Lee Chaemin: “Everyone's saying that my acting is great, thank you so much. I’m still lacking a lot but… On set, really, including YoonA-sunbae and other sbn(s) too, they helped me a lot. They shared lots of ideas with me. When I was filming the drama, although I also put in lots of effort, I feel like this is only possible that I receive lots of love from many people because of the people around me. That’s why everyday, when I watch the drama, or the feelings come to me, I feel like I have so many people that I’m thankful for”

"Fascism is a moment in the history of the middle-class, a means by which the middle-class protects itself from the working class." --- Bernardo Bertolucci on 'The Conformist' (1970) Full Excerpt: "'The Conformist' (1970) is first a film about the bourgeoisie, the middle-class, not about fascism. I was speaking about the middle class, and fascism is a moment in the history of the middle-class, a means by which the middle-class protects itself from the working class. Whenever the working class is coming up, up, up, at this moment fascism makes its appearance. In the film there is a fascist and an anti-fascist, but the Professor in Paris, the anti-fascist, is also from the middle-class. We have two faces of the same coin, of the middle-class. One face is fascism, the other is anti-fascism, but not a Marxist anti-fascism, just an idealism. Because he is also in the middle-class, my anti-fascist is not a hero, not a positive man." (From his interview with Joan Mellen, 1975)

“I was born into royalty. But they made me to be the King of world music. I don’t want to be on the throne. I love to play music. And the music I am playing now is a piece of music being taken from different shrines. The name given to it was Juju music, Yoruba music, because they have the tambourine that used to sound. You throw it, I throw it. When you play it, I throw it to you.” — King Sunny Ade explains the roots of his music and how the name “Juju music” came to be associated with the sound he plays.

🐿️ if i get the time, i want to try going to a song camp when i’m in america 🐿️ if i get to do something myself that would be the best but even if not, i think there’d be things i feel in there 🐿️ because i feel like this formula that i have had for the past 6-7 years…i feel like there’s something outside the fence of this formula 🐿️ because the only music that i’ve processed and beautifully made is our music so if i were to make my own music, finding the answer to the “artist taehyun”…is outside my fence so i’ve been constantly preparing myself to try and cross that fence

250903 MBC 📻 steven's tmi: he likes classical music 🦊: the reason i said this is because sometimes when i listen to songs, the lyrics kind of sound noisy. but when listening only to the instrumental, it somehow feels like there isn't emotion, so at that time, listening to classical music is just right. because feeling emotions without lyrics is kind of a little fun, and it’s also fun to slightly feel what kind of story it is. i think i often enjoy listening to it. it’s a bit like with movies and books because when you read a book, you have to imagine, so i think it feels kind of like that~ #AHOF #아홉 #STEVEN #스티븐 #STVN
