Hyperthermia comes quick in the Pacific NW and can kill just as quick. A woman just recently died in the Enchantments. If you can’t get warm quick, leave the trail. You have a few days of warm weather before rain comes again.

I’m a former search and rescue member. Those hand warmers are very unpredictable. I never trust them. And water proof/resistant jackets need their outside to be recoated with a water repallamt coating every so often to cause the water to bead off. Once the outside gets saturated the water will start soaking through even if they have a water proof membrane.

Find your way to Canada and will help find yourself a place to stay.
