Why sorry? Obsidian is file over app to make this kind of thing possible, ideally easy. I like seeing this ☺️

knowledge graph with live file previews, shipping in the next release of

Serious question, how does this actually help in your learning / understanding of your knowledge base ? Both the obsidian graph and this are pretty to look at, but haven’t found any use out of them.

Personally it’s cool for clustering and visualization I do believe that for 99.999% of people it’s more for fun People requested so i built it

@karode0 obsidian is not open source, cabinet is

@karode0 Thank you for clarifying, I stand corrected. I mistook Obsidian being free for being open source. Keep up the good work!

@karode0 cabinet is also free. try in!

i know similar looking app but scoped on learning

Great UI Cabinet is scoped on executing

You might want to check out @AiClairvoyance.

@AiClairvoyance Very cool! Will check it today

this is a non-computer person's idea of what computer people's screens look like

Whats the point of this UI other than being able to see a pretty constellation that makes us feel like we're doing something valuable? seems like a toy we're all building.

Work should be fun It does provide interesting way to scope your knowledge base and observe clusters - it creates a context graph with tags. It’s only initial UI, think it can be more functional & fun

Good answer! I am genuinely curious how people find value in these- I’ve made a few myself—I look at them once and then never again

I guess we neeed the ask the obsidian guys haha

Good for nothing one. Note sure why people use this in practical scenarios. Good for x attention

True

Found it!

yes!

Oh this looks interesting...

👩🏻💻🗄️🚀

here is mine.....

Looks like a real brain!!!

That was the point.

Need to see it against my vault

Looks like a very good edge case How many nodes you have on this graph?

22k or so. The yellow along the edges are non-md files.

Fortunately for @obsdmd all of it’s clones look like vibed slop. And this shows the time and love for your product make total difference. Plus ofc the trust Obidian managed to generate though the engagement and character of it’s founder.

@obsdmd Cabinet is not an obsidian clone - it serves different purposes completely

With Clairvoyance you can coexist with Obsidian while using AI to create the metadata to build connections. Try it you'll love it!

If it’s just a visualization then it’s not a moat

You commenting to my 30 seconds video = moat

Engagement =! $

$ = f(Engagement, X, Y, Z)

This is beautiful. How did you create?

Question. Why do we need this Knowledge Graphs UI? What matters is to make it simple the network of MD files.

Its very simple and it shows not only MD files but context and tags from your entire knowledge base

@davidobot_

Wow so useful

😅

I appreciate the roller coaster tycoon ref in your banner

Me too Chris sawyer is my hero

we need a VR version

Cabinet x Apple Vision Pro

Dopamine slop.

Love it

thank you!

So its like Obsidian?

Much more

Any capture intelligence?

Why Sorry ?

Very impressive rendering performance

Yes! 🎨👩🏻💻

What a masterpiece

😅🫶🏻

what kind of program is this?

Thanks, I'll try that.

finalyyyyy

Good right

Looks amazing! Goodness.

Thank you lavon!

No problem! Anything that stops scroll on X is heat. Well done. 🔥

This looks awesome congratulations!!!

Thank you 🙏

Whoa this is awesome is this open source? I've been looking for an open source version of the obsidian graph for like 2 months now

Found it in the next release

im sorry, what's the point of a 3d graph? (other than looking cool ofc)

Looking cool But for real - it helps navigate clusters and explore topics. Ir creates context graph with tags from your existing KB. So if for example i want to view all “receipts” - it will be easy to estimate and view. And 99% for looking cool

i like this, is it open source? I want to build a personal knowledge graph for myself as well.

it's free checkout out

I allways think if is there any utility on that kind of visualization for notes

wanted to reply that obsidian is explicitly designed to make competition like that possible .......turns out @kepano the goat already did
