This is probably the most serious video I’ve ever made, but unfortunately, hardly anyone has seen it. It’s about my journey making animated short films from 2022 to 2026, including my Attack on Titan short and God’s Game. But it also goes back through almost everything I’ve made from 2002 to 2026. So in a way, it’s basically a record of most of my life. That’s why I love the process so much. I get to see how I’ve changed and grown, one step at a time. I’m getting older, but I’m still making things I love and trying to keep moving toward the dream I’ve had for so long.

But it’s a funny thing because it’s a big fantasy story. It’s a big sweeping adventure story. It’s a beautiful extravaganza. It’s an epic, but that’s not something that sustains you for 16 years." He continued, “At the heart of it, it has to be something that means something to you and that’s the thing I’m most proud of is that underneath it all, it is something that is really heartfelt, it’s beautiful, it’s emotional and that’s the thing I hope audiences take away from this.”

This is insane!🔥 This is a 720p (2D) video I shot of my kids 15 years ago! I used AI to upscale it, depth-map it, & used the depth map to convert it to 3D SBS, & then converted that to Spatial Video for Apple Vision Pro (MV-HEVC). My son is currently a senior in high school, and my daughter is a sophomore in college. This video has complete spatial depth when viewed in the Apple Vision Pro. Obviously, you can't appreciate that via this post. But it's like I'm there & I can see into this room. Talk about giving you the feels.🥹 This can be done with ANY video. 🤯 I'm working on refining the workflow, as it's a bit cumbersome. I plan to share it, but holy cow! I had to post this.

Spatial video is so underrated. Yeah, we all laughed at that cringey Apple Vision Pro demo.. the dad with a headset strapped on at his kid’s birthday. But this isn’t just video recording.. This is a life moment recording. Watching a spatial video in Apple Vision Pro feels like almost being there. Words can’t do justice- you have to experience it. When we lost our cat Buttercup, it was devastating. But I have spatially recorded videos of him- me petting him and seeing in full 3D. Every hair on his body, the fluffy texture of his fur, even the details in his whiskers- it’s so vivid it feels like you could reach out and touch him. It’s therapeutic. Healing. Almost like a window back into those moments. I used to think we’d have to wait until we were living in spaceships, staring at hologram of loved ones, to be experiencing something like this. But Apple made that a reality- now, in our lifetime. That’s the power of spatial video.

Safari can now automatically transform a website’s content into a spatial experience using Spatial Scenes — allowing you to literally look into the rooms of the apartment you’re about to book for your next holiday. It does this by beautifully blending the content with your surroundings and softly tinting your room with the website’s color palette. It's just not possible to capture. I want to put a worthy project before you and explain why I’m backing it, and why I may eventually have some personal involvement in it. “Deceived: The Ruin of the Modern Woman: A Christian Exploration and Confrontation of Feminism.” Here’s the Kickstarter: There is a longer trailer on the Kickstarter, but I've also attached the shorter conceptual trailer. First, the project itself: it’s a documentary by a Christian director examining the history and consequences of feminism and offering a biblical alternative. Second, here’s why I’m backing it. I’ve known Les Lanphere, the director, for a while, and I know him to be both a talented filmmaker and a principled Christian man. I trust him to tackle this subject biblically and with intensity, but without unnecessary harshness or shock-jockery. I also believe this is one of the defining issues of our day, and it’s one I’ve worked hard to address for most of my adult life. Feminism has obviously affected men and society as a whole, but now that I’m the father of three daughters and have a daughter-in-law, I’ve become even more concerned about what it has robbed women of: the beauty of their unique, God-given design and purpose in His world. So, for me, this is a trustworthy creator tackling a crucial subject in which I’m personally invested. I’m not yet sure to what extent I’ll eventually be involved in the documentary itself, but I backed the project for $300 today, and I’ll probably increase that once I’ve had a little more time to consider it. In the meantime, I want to challenge 50 of you to back the project for at least $5 each. That may not sound like much, but it helps. And the more people who get behind the project and follow its progress, the more attention it can gain. Even if you can only give a few dollars, you can play a real part by backing it, following it, and helping get the word out.

Not only is this one of the nicest, most heartfelt compliments that anyone has ever given me.. but what Ren says afterwards are some of the most important words I’ve heard spoken in the these turbulent times we live in. I’ve always felt and often preached the same ideology throughout my music, but I can admit that at times, even seeing the world for what it truly is, I’ve gotten caught up in some of the divisiveness that the orchestrators of our reality put in place to keep us fighting. Sometimes it’s hard not to. Sometimes it’s out of defense when my words are misunderstood or taken out of context. Sometimes certain stances, whether popular or not, do need to be taken by someone with thick enough skin to deal with the blowback. But also, sometimes I’ve been wrong. Sometimes I’ve gotten carried away. Sometimes I’ve forgotten to put myself in the shoes of someone on the other side of whatever point I’m trying to make and fallen into the very same us vs. them mentality he speaks about here. The truth is, we do have a common enemy. And we need to quickly realize that it isn’t each other. Because if we don’t find a way to set aside our differences, the future is going to be a very scary place. It already is. Love overpowers hate every single time. And I’d also like to return the compliment Ren. You’re the most talented human being I’ve ever worked with, and I can’t express to you how grateful I am to have had you and your team enter my life. You helped me fall back in love with music in a way I hadn’t felt in years. Thanks for taking the time to see past my gruff exterior and understand the person beneath it. You’re like the brother I never knew I had, and it was an absolute honor creating this art with you. Let’s do it again some eh? Long Live Inpatient 🫡🕸

At 40 I’m more disciplined and dialed in than I’ve ever been. But the days still feel shorter than they used to. I’m carrying a book with my co-author Neal Flesher, building a business, running the content operation, and every one of those things has a version of “always something” attached to it. What I’ve been slowly forced to accept is that life moves faster than the systems I build to keep up with it, and no amount of structure changes that. Coming to terms my own finitude has been the hardest and most useful reframe I’ve had in years. It doesn’t slow anything down. It just makes the time I have feel like it matters more. What have you been quietly trying to accept about yourself lately?

Since starting The Diary Of A CEO, this has been one of the interviews I’ve wanted to do the most. I’ve never seen someone so utterly consumed by their work. The word obsession doesn’t do him justice. MrBeast is entirely possessed by his mission, with a level of detail that would seem bizarre to the average person. But that’s why he’s number 1 and a multi-billionaire at 26 years old. After spending time with him, I’m 100% convinced - he does none of this for money. To him, money is just a tool to push his mission forward. He lives humbly and is willing to spend every penny he has to create something that has “never been done before”. You don’t want to miss this one.

I’ve eaten candy bars for most of my life and the chocolate texture on top of most of them were always enjoyable to me. It’s like thicker sections of the chocolate that made it better. Being no stranger to having issues with textures I get it. But I never thought that this soils be an issue for anyone. This man doesn’t like the veiny appearance of a Snickers bar so he created his own contraption on a 3-D printer that cut it off so he could enjoy his Snickers bar. I often modify my food because of texture and mouthfeel of food. Like how I always peel the chicken skin off of rotisserie chicken unless it’s completely crispy. The soft mushy chicken skin that hasn’t been rendered is disgusting to me. It’s the reason why I even avoid eating rotisserie chicken just for that reason alone. Whenever I order a sandwich, I will often order it without sauce, and have them put it on the side because by the time I get home to eat it, it’s soggy and inedible in my opinion. So I’ve been told it’s a sensory issue and I can train myself to overcome it but to be honest I really don’t want to either. I always check my food and will just not eat it if it’s too soggy. So far that has worked for me. But this guy’s explanation for why he doesn’t like the candy bar is laughable for me, I get it, the texture ruins it for him which I can relate to.
