I once did a puzzle in two months that said 3-5 years. Being so elite precludes me from entering these contests.

Puzzling is supposed to be relaxing, not stressful. These people have ruined it.

The winner was 37 minutes. With a 500 piece puzzle, this means the winner was placing 13-14 pieces a minutes or about 1 piece every 4 seconds. That is really incredible.

As someone who does a fair amount of puzzles, knocking one out in less than an hour is bonkers fast

No way I going to open that bag, not ready to have a brain earthquake, Speed puzzling in a nutshell, pros treat opening the sealed bag as lost time while the rest of us are still hunting for the corner pieces. Insane hand-eye coordination and pattern recognition on display, such a sport.

I spend more time than that looking for the 3 pieces that (as it turns out) fell on the floor.

I'm pretty proud of myself. I did this jigsaw once which said 4 - 6 years on the box. I did it in 10 minutes.

While growing up late 60s and early 70s durning the Space Apollo missions to the moon…My mom and grandma would buy me the Apollo mission jigsaw puzzles that was heading to the moon that day…I would put it together and learn ab the mission for school…That was really enjoyable and many memories !

100% that lady in second grade when asked for an extra pencil replied “sorry don’t have one”…while obviously having 10 well sharpened pencils in her book bag

The complete antithesis of what jigsaw puzzles are about, IMHO. When I visit my daughter (usually for several days) she has a puzzle on the table and throughout the day and evening, around our other activities, we gravitate to it with a cup of tea and just chat and find pieces
