Hi Paige. That segment was forced box-checking, not merit-based. It’s strange that we are all expected to pretend it’s totally normal to go from listening to Nick Saban, the most accomplished coach in history, breakdown the game to throwing to three women who have never played a snap at any level. Had it been one woman with a former coach, and a former player, it would not have caught my eye, but the reason this post has gone so viral is because everyone noticed the same thing I did and knows that it was a clear example of prioritizing quotas and diversity over expertise.

If women supported women's sports like men supported men's sports there wouldn't be any issues with funding. So the problem is women's sports isn't supported by women. Full stop. That's the hard truth

I had to stop after the second time you said that "men want to listen to other men." I am a woman, I have told my husband for years that I'm sick of seeing these women on the field as commentators. It needs to stop. And now they're tripling up? Make it stop! It is ridiculous and silly, and no one wants to see it. I don't care about your feminist ambitions.

I think play by play announcers are different than color announcers and sideline reporters!
