Loved my budgie Hercules. We'd just let him fly freely around the house and he'd land on my shoulder and give me kisses

If you are away from home for extended period of times your bird will have great difficulty bonding properly with you. You are a face the bird needs to say almost everyday. Please consider this

My Pepper has been with me for about 13 years! 🤧🫶🏽 I recommend Cockatiels! The best kind of chatty birds 🙂‍↕️

Ring neck parakeet is the bird for you..don’t think there’s a pink one but there’s several different varieties 💕

I would definitely recommend a cockatiel for you, Trixie! I currently have a Green cheeked conure and while a cute and cooky companion, they can be very temperamental, and have good/bad days, in my experience.

I have a Galah named Baby - they’re a species of cockatoo native to Australia but she’s verrrrrry Trixie coded 🥰

Senegal Parrot. My parents had one, Stevie and he was he until she laid two eggs! They aren't as loud as Conures but extremely sweet and good talkers. Stevie had some anxiety and picked feathers so that's what the cone was about

My buzzkill answer is I don’t like people keeping pets that spend most of their time caged. If you must, know that birds from the parrot family mate for life. In the wild they fly in pairs and are ALWAYS near each other. Maybe get 2 unless you have lots of time to spend with one.

If you get a bird please make sure it’s a rescue, please adopt an elder bird if possible, many birds are being neglected and need a forever home. Please look into getting an African grey rescue

All great options except for the caique, don’t get me wrong they’re delightful but everything I’ve read about caring for them puts them a solid “difficulty” & volume notch above the other species you mentioned. Potential alternative for that size & fun personality- golden conure

GCC’s aren’t loud at all, they are incredibly charming with tons of personality. All of them are unique. They absolutely need to spend most of the day outside the cage and as all birds, they WILL bite. Katya’s Ding Dong is one of Blue’s favorite songs. He loves vampire stuff.

Hi trixie i am so excited for you! I’d suggest going to a store that has birds and seeing who you connect with. Green cheeks are great companions and smart! But bitey. Cockatiels are sweet and very dumb! I agree lovebirds are super cute but they make a diabolical sound
