The reason why most of their criticisms of Mallam Nasir El-Rufai will not stand is because he was their favorite throughout his eight years in office. For eight years, they praised him, defended him, and celebrated his policies. You can stop supporting someone while they are still in office if you genuinely disagree with their actions. You can withdraw your support and openly state your reasons at the time. That is fair. But if you kept quiet, applauded him, or benefited politically while he was serving, then turning around after he leaves office to condemn everything you said then that makes you a hypocrite in my books. And, as long as this video exists, the "it's because of appointment angle" will not hold.

Massive blow up on Radio New Zealand this morning. Host Corin Dann completely loses his cool after being directly accused of green left bias by New Zealand First leader Winston Peters. The blow up happened during a discussion on new male female defining legislation NZ First proposes to bring to parliament. Mr Dann denies the allegations, saying he is only doing his job, which entails on occasions acting as the “devil’s advocate”. The problem with this is that the devil Mr Dann advocates for is almost invariably on the progressive left.
