looks more like a bobcat with the short tail and the gait.

It has a darker tip, but I could make out the longer tail. Might be a younger cat.

I think it's a dog, no really I do because it doesn't walk like a big cat. Tail is too short and rear leg joints are different.

Her lack of fear and situational awareness probably saved her from being mauled.
