The officer was walking around the vehicle, filming and gathering evidence because they were about to detain and arrest the driver for obstruction. The driver turned hard to the left as she was backing and put herself in front of the officer. The driver may have been turning (hard to the right) to leave but the car lunged straight, then to the right. The car hit the officer and knocked him forward and off to the side. The officer did not draw his weapon until the vehicle started moving forward, directly at him. He shot while he was being hit. The officer’s actions are justified. This is an open and shut case.

She was told to “exit the vehicle now” multiple times before gassing the vehicle towards the officer, the shooting was justified. Case closed!

It’s not premeditated to assess a threat and preposition yourself to be able to draw if needed. Literally every cop is trained to assume every traffic stop is deadly.

Haven’t seen any defense attorneys say this would be an easily winnable self defense case for them but I’ve seen scores of prosecutors say it would be a slam dunk to convict. Just what I’ve seen so far. Do with that what you will.
