Starlings are mimics :) so are blackbirds and a few other relatively common species. When mobile phones were first making the scene there was one here that mimiced a ringtone 😂 for a few weeks us and the neighbours were thinking someone had dropped a phone in the woodland behind our homes. But nope, just a bird.

I bet this bird lives with someone who plays video games, the kind that are like horror movies. They have tons of eerie sounds and music to creep you out as you explore. Creaking doors, alarms from damaged laboratories, dripping water inside abandoned buildings, etc. It's the echoing footstep noises that made me think of this. I used to date a gamer who played scary games and I'd hear those echoing wet footsteps sounds 24/7 as his character walked around in the game.
