For starters she’s Māori and Australian. 1st pass. Most if not everyone who grows up in NZ learns a haka for their school or other reasons. Māori culture and traditions are shared amongst everyone. Including the language. So even if she were white it would still be acceptable.

Whites have been so deracinated by liberal progressive capitalism they don't have a collective identity anymore, and are looking for one, which they find in older cultures/peoples.
