"Imagine developing resilient crops that not only feed populations on depleted soil but also absorb CO2." At this week's inauguration of Gefion, Denmark's new AI supercomputer, we were honoured to be joined by His Majesty King Frederik, who spoke about the remarkable scientific discoveries that Gefion will make possible....

How is that groundbreaking? - plants always absorb CO2, its called photosynthesis. Plants also did this when I learned about it in school back in the seventies/eighties.... You do not need a supercomputer for that...I suggest you find another purpose for that computer 😂

I am waiting for plants that emit enough bioluminescent light to bathe a street (so we don't need streetlights) and grow in the dark (so we double CO2 capture) We're getting closer to that thanks to @Lab_Nagai efforts for the last decade

To the folks commenting on "crops that absorb CO2", could it be, that it is a no brainer that the plant itself with the stems and the grain and roots, "store" CO2, but instead this is talking about ways of storing the CO2 in the ground, even after harvesting.
