It's an indictment against the festivals, against the mainstream media, against the powers that be. But this is not a criticism towards the film's creators. If they hadn't submitted the film to the competition, the award wouldn't have been given to a Palestinian film. The genocide just wouldn't have been mentioned in the programme at all.

So I gave it a scene with an ancient water temple, a glowing artifact, a giant stone guardian, and a fast escape sequence. A lot could have gone wrong. The character could have changed. The environment could have broken. The camera could have lost the action. The sound could have felt completely disconnected. But the whole sequence stayed surprisingly consistent.
