Imagine looking outside and seeing a bear casually sitting there with her little foot up as if she's expecting a glass of wine and a charcuterie board?

Imagine renting a cabin in the mountains. You go in the hot tub at night with your husband and are enjoying a romantic evening when you look over and see a bear standing up looking at you. That's what happened to us. I ran into the cabin so quickly.

I’d freak out. I’ve seen them in person for a distance.

I saw a mama and cubs in Yosemite, saw a few in Colorado and Alaska and Canada.

That family would absolutely be welcome at the stoat cave. Ladies of all sorts should be treated with the utmost courtesy & respect, & should be encouraged to sit wherever they like. I'm so glad that the homeowners are being such gracious and accommodating hosts to them. 🥰🐻

I had a friend who opened her vacation home patio door to put out humming bird feed and left it open as she did so. On her way back into her house she saw a big black bear going through her kitchen cabinets, destroying her kitchen. She quietly went to the front of the house and called animal control. When they came, the bear was on her sofa, resting. It’s all on cctv. It was hilarious to me. But she sold that house after that. Hahahaha. It was in Appalachia Georgia.

My bear story. I took my kids to a cabin in the Pocono Mountains for a 3 day vacation. We went to a local Mom and Pop store to get some supplies. There was a big wrap around porch on the building and a bear sitting on it. I looked thru the windshield and decided it must be a pet bear (city girl). I walked past it with my 3 kids. When I was checking out, I asked the owner about the bear on the porch. "Lady, I've owned this store for 30 years and there has never been a bear on the porch"

Yeah no thanks. Had one under our deck, right beneth our front door, and we had two small dogs. 👀 I finally got out an air horn and gave two or three blasts in her direction. (I know it was a female because she was tagged.) She took off pretty quickly. Used the air horn on a coyote that was hanging out in our backyard too. Yeah we practically had a petting zoo on our property. Dear, wild turkeys, grouse, pheasants, porcupines, a pair of foxes, a family of bobcats...

I have lots of bear stories. But none this adorable.
