@zelina2024 That was most definitely inappropriate. It’s a bridegroom special day.

@zelina2024 Probably boot them out

@DorLinder Nope. They could have waited until the next day and let the couple have their day. I’ve seen excuses like the family was all there. Well yeah - but they weren’t there for you. So have some respect and don’t be selfish.

If the Bride and Groom okayed this. Then it’s acceptable

proposing at someones wedding is crazy

If the bride was informed beforehand and said ok, then no worries. Otherwise it's incredibly retarded and rude

@zelina2024 Totally wrong. I would’ve asked them to leave.

@projectmagahp No. Not appropriate. It’s the bride’s day. My sister didn’t even tell anyone she was pregnant until after my wedding.

My SIL proposed to my daughter during his cousin’s wedding. My daughter didn’t know it was coming - SIL discussed it with me. I advised him to talk to the Bride and get her permission / feedback before doing it. His cousin was a mature bride - so it wasn’t quite the same - but she (bride) was thrilled that he wanted to propose during the reception. Every case is different - just don’t blindside the bride.

@DominicVerdin66 Shit thing to do and really shows how scummy and attention-starved they are.

In VERY poor taste. You have 364 other days you could have chosen. This day was NOT ABOUT YOU! They should have let the bride and groom have THEIR day

That is so F’d up!! You have no right to steal somebody else’s extremely special once-in-a-lifetime moment!

No, you don’t steal someone else’s thunder.

Imagine being hung up on a “perfect day” that your upset your friends are happy and are following your example? What sad sad people you all must be. Good for them. I hope they make it to the end together

@HistorianUSA1 This was similar to Meghan and Harry announcing Meghan’s pregnancy at Eugenie’s wedding, You never steal the bride and groom’s moment. Not ever.

Wedding seems pretty much over atp. Also they do seem like very close friends who are cool with it. I don’t think your personal opinion is actually relevant

This is definitely not cool at all, cos it's the bride & groom's one big day. Stealing the spotlight like that feels pretty selfish. If this happend at your wedding, what will you do? Politely ask them to wait, or fully eject them both out of the venue?

It seems like they waited til the end of the night, and the bride doesn't look upset lol. Replies are reaaaching

Holy shit how rude

@PeriklesGREAT Absolutely not ok

@EricaRN4USA I’ve actually been to a wedding where this happened. It was the bride’s sister. It really took attention away from the bride. Sad.

@projectmagahp Totally inappropriate- why take away from the wedding couples special day?

Oh helll nahhh also in a leather black jacket at my wedding I woulda beat both they asses this worst than someone ordering fajitas at your birthday dinner

If the couple are aware and gave their permission then it’s good

No. It was extremely rude.

Except that’s not at all what happened here? This was my sister‘s wedding. I was there and her best friend asked if they could propose. it happened at the end of the party obviously there’s not many guests left, and you could tell everybody’s pretty buzzed at this point

Who thinks it is inappropriate to propose on someone else their marriage has clearly not understood what a marriage is about. It’s a moment to celebrate love and not to seek attention. Who fears that attention will shift already admits they aren’t marryng for love but attention.

I’d be happy someone was stealing my spotlight. Who wants the spotlight anyways? Not me. I would do anything to stay in the background even on my wedding day.

Only if it was the idea of the bride and or she and the husband were in on it! In this case totally cool! But unannounced most definitely not!

Stealing someone else's spotlight on their big day to make it all about you is beyond selfish. This was supposed to be a day for the bride and groom, not for the newly engaged couple.

It's only okay if it's cleared with the bride and groom first and at an appropriate moment during the wedding. Right before the couple's first dance? Hell no. Bride also looks surprised, so I'm guessing it wasn't cleared with her. This is bad.

I wouldn't like it. Low class.

I’ve never understood why you would take from someone else’s special day and make it about you, even with the Brides approval. Especially since you’re putting your “future” fiancé in that kind of a situation. It would be embarrassing for her, in my opinion.

That just shows he’s either to cheap to come up with his own surprise or has 0 imagination to think something up himself…. Only 2 logical excuses
